Good Morning ‘ Face.
It is a strange factoid ,that if you had your meals in restaurants or the ‘peoples’ kitchens’ , you hardly experienced rationing.
It had a waste saving logic to it, but wasn't advertised to the public in this way.

That’s interesting, Moosie.
When we were stationed in Germany, some things were rationed, and we had a ration card that had to be punched.
Sugar, coffee, petrol and alcoholic products were on the card.
