Funny, I’ve been here since 2007 and we’ve only had one power outage.
Of course, that made national news.
As did the one in, what, 2004 when somoene over in the midwest knocked over a transmission pole and knocked the entire northeast off the grid? My family was in NYC without me for that one. I told them to climb back up the stairs to their hotel room and not come out until it was over, but thanks to Rudy people behaved much better than the 1977 blackout.
That makes three I know of.
I’m impressed that you’re 3/4 of the way through the paperwork.
Do you have a cat around to shred the stuff you don’t keep?
When we finally do get a border fence it won't be to keep them out...
I want ice cream and cookies.,
On my last weight watchers weigh in I hit the 50 pound mark. I have a few more pounds to go. No more cookies or ice cream until I reach it.
I do plan on cheating on my birthday and having an ice cream sundae. I’m counting the days til that. /)
I’m not a fan of Family Guy either. The whole idea of the baby trying to kill his mom really upset me.
I like his American Dad better.
I saw all the seasons of both on Netflix when I was in the hospital. Sheer boredom makes you watch some really weird things.
I like ice tea better than not tea.
I adore diet peach Snapple
I used to have a squirrel in my shoe...
Coffee, one never has too much coffee.
(Unless it’s Dark’s coffee...)
That’s not anything that ever happened to me.
Probably just as well. One can’t shake a squirrel out of the toe of a shoe...
I was lucky in Vegas, too. I can only recall one outage in the middle of winter. Bitter cold wind, 22 degrees with wind at 17-21, at night, and this cold snap lasted for 10 days. I did NOT have enough clothes in my closet to keep warm!
I went out and offered hot coffee to the power workers.
No, actually, I have a wonderfully efficient Felloes shredder, and it has a mesh basket so I know when to dump it.
There wasn’t that much to shred, yesterday.
So far, I’ve lost 42 pounds, but that last eight just does NOT want to leave my frame! Once it has, though, the next 10 pounds will come off fairly easily.
I lost 45 originally, but that was five kids ago. I don’t expect ever to weigh 111 again, unless I get really sick.
I like peach tea, but I also like just plain black tea with not sugar or lemon, and I like it cold.
And I think I’m going to go back to black coffee. I’m just having a tough time with sweetened creamer.
I would like to get back down to my high school weight, but that would leave me with a lot of saggy skin, and I’m not excited about looking my age!!
Are you sure that’s the only place you had squirrels?
Vlad has decided he wants to learn Greek. I just ordered the first two Greek workbooks. It will be helpful if he and Pat can do flashcards together!
I’m getting sleepy, but I need to leave in about 10 minutes to go wait at the door of the community room so I can be first in line for the washers. Today is an easy day...wash only, no drying, so I’ll only be there 40 minutes. YAY!
Then I’ll come home and take a pain pill and start to hang up the clothes when it goes to work. Oh joy.
How interesting! Quiet little dimpled Vlad...how does Pat feel about this upstart? LOL!
