Who would have felt comfortable in these circumstances?
A Massachusetts man was driving in the town of Medford last Saturday night. He admits he took a wrong turn and ended up going the wrong way down a traffic circle.
However, how wrong a turn might his life have taken if the events that followed had taken a slightly different turn.
In dashcam video posted to YouTube by a driver who only gave his name as Michael, he is confronted by an angry man in a white tank top and shorts.
The angry man steps out of a truck and approaches him. Michael, seemingly -- and perhaps understandably -- frightened, reverses. The angry man follows him and Michael stops.
The angry man appears to show his badge and identifies himself as a police officer. Some, though, might be troubled by the officer's greeting: "I'll put a hole in your head."

They’ll just outlaw them. “Heavily-edited videos”. #WhiteHouse
Things that happen in Meffuh.
Are police getting worse or are we just catching more of the bad ones on tape?
There is another vid of this ‘cop’s’ antics. He is a first class turd. Total hot head.
That metro detective should be fired at the very minimum.
There was a point in that dash cam video where the patrol unit that responded knew how badly that detective f@cked up. They let the driver keep the video because they knew they didn’t have a legal basis to “seize” it as that detective who said he’d blow the driver’s brains out (more than once). Secondly, if they’d have seized it they would have had to have some trail of evidence for it which they didn’t do. To protect that scumbag detective.
Here’s a clue NJ, if your detectives run around in shorts, tattoos and wearing a wife-beater T shirt, you got some serious problems people.
When are we going to get serious and pass some common sense laws on these high capacity recording devices,I think anything more than a single shot is just plain unnecessary. My God, who in their right mind needs a whole recording to remember a special event. We need Common Sense legislation to severely restrict these dangerous and unnecessary High Capacity Recording Devices, and we need it now!
Oops....apparently MA, but sentiment is still the same. WBTSs are for redneck trailer parks......
This cop must be fired - that a-hole is lucky he wasn't shot or run down.
Well, I’m guessing LE as a whole are entirely down with your sentiment! Things just been getting too embarrassing for them here lately. Too hard to hide sh!t like they used to.
Yeah...that’s just the automatic reflex action to protect the brother in blue (in this case a wife beater T shirt).
It’s basic instinct to them.
Cop should be fired and charged for threatening to kill the man.
If a off duty cop pulled that in America, where citizens carry guns, instead of MA, he might have justifiably been shot to death by the driver.
I am very supportive of cops who shoot people who appear to be a lethal threat, even if they turn out not to be. But the same goes for citizens. If an off duty cop, acts in a threatening way without clearly identifying himself, he is creating the appearance of a threat and asking to be shot.
Also, traffic circles are an unamerican idea, created by douchebags in Europe. :)
There have always been police , military, and guards who abuse the authority given them ; the proliferation of small cameras is allowing their bad behavior to be proven ,unlike earlier times when they could lie and intimidate witnesses.
Then there are the petty bureaucrats ,crooked politicians, lying salespeople, and all other criminals who may meet justice because a recording exists of their offenses.
Civilized people will have to develop a new balance of privacy rights versus camera use.
Fired isn’t enough. He threatened to kill someone. He did this under his badge. He threatened to destroy evidence.
So we have assault with a deadly weapon, Conspiracy, and abuse of power.
Jail time.
Incidentally, I find traffic circles confusing;Indianapolis has some in the suburbs.
Do you know Donnuh from Meffuh? This Rotary is the worst. Rte. 38 comes into the square and it look like it goes straight. But it’s oncoming traffic on Rte. 60. But people coming out of the square stay to the left of the rotary. I have almost been in a dozen head ons over the years because you can barely tell it’s a rotary if you are unfamiliar with it. I heard this cop was a bully in HS and was 3 sheets when he pulled the guy over.
Reviews of top 10 dash cameras. I am getting one soon!
Are police getting worse or are we just catching more of the bad ones on tape?
Only the stupid ones.
Absolutely correct. I recently got a Replay PrimeX that can be mounted just about anywhere: dash on a swivel, other stationary mounts, helmet, goggles. Can be hand held and is waterproof.
Is also good to have in a vehicle if you’re involved in an auto accident.
