A Florida landscaper was sentenced to a year in jail on Friday after he intentionally ran over a family of ducks with a lawn mower in May, reports CBS affiliate WTSP.
Jason Falbo, 24, pleaded guilty to nine counts of animal cruelty. Authorities say he mowed down 11 ducklings and their mother May 2 at the home of a family caring for them in Wellington. Police say nine ducklings died. The mother and two ducklings survived.
And no, the people feeding the little ducks aren't "just as responsible". Good grief, you don't need to lash out with absurdities like that just because you're outnumbered and not scoring any points trying to convince the animal lovers here that this is no big deal.
Trying too hard makes you seem unreasonable. Just acknowledge his proper sentence and let it drop; This idiot is an obvious unstable wackjob and is deserving of legal jeopardy.
And no, the people feeding the little ducks aren’t “just as responsible”.
...
I’ll repeat. Yes, they are.
Well, okay then...
Go eat a steak.

With pleasure.
But that does help the jury with their deliberations about your intellectual level and where it stands in relation to room temperature.
I can see the difference between slaughtering cattle for food and running over a gaggle of geese for giggles. You? Apparently unable to see the qualitative difference, as evidenced by your retort.
Bang.
End the moratorium on “Canadian” Geese. They’re not endangered, nor are they Canadian.
Oh I see. I didn’t read that statement as literally as you did. I understood it to mean dogs and cats and other house pets.
One of my best friends lives on a hillside overlooking his 40 acres just outside Boyne City and two summers ago while out in the valley cutting down the grass with his tractor, he killed a fawn that was hiding down in the grass......That didn't sit well with him.
If you can equate the killing of a family of ducklings by deliberately running them over with a tractor to that of killing ants and mosquitos, then I'm glad I don't live in your world, let alone being your neighbor.
You obviously have never been a hunter because if you were, you would know damn well that no game is to be taken during birthing season. That includes ducks and other animals such as coyotes...........
Any individual who thinks otherwise is neither a hunter nor a conservationist and should be treated with contempt............
I hear you. We’re in the boonies out here. We have coyotes, bobcats, regular cats, foxes, owls, rattlesnakes, copperheads, etc. Everybody is on their own in this wilderness on the river. I’ve told them to BE KIND TO EACH OTHER! We have lots of deer & they have been allowed to live on the place & do as they mostly please with no hunting. Thirty years of animals of all sorts. (If they turn on us like the ones on that tv show about unruly animals; we’re sunk.) :o)
Unfortunately pompous sanctimonious self-important blowhards such as yourself who have nothing better to do than lecture posters who make a joke do inhabit the world. Fortunately you're NOT my neighbor.
We've got a 71 post thread going here with many folks criticizing your ignorance and now you're saying to ME that you were merely joking?
That ain't gonna fly bro. You may think me a blowhard but you're nothing but a thread hijacking jackass whose comments have created nothing but unnecessary controversy here and your comments should be removed..........
Your post proves every comment I made about you is true. I love unintentional irony, and you've provided plenty of it.
