The Coming (And Hilarious) Democrat Implosion
http://www.townhall.com ^ | 7/27/2015 | Kurt Schlichter

Republicans fear a repeat of 1992, with a squishy Bush at the head of the ticket watching helplessly as some populist businessman/novelty act hands the election to a Clinton. But Democrats should fear the far more likely repeat of 1968.

Ah, the 1968 convention … just thinking of it brings a smile to the face of every normal American. Let’s start with hordes of Chicago cops kicking the psychedelia out of dirty hippies. Footage of all-American flatfoots clocking VC-flag waving pinkos with nightsticks is more erotic than a hundred “Fifty Shades” books. Just thinking about it makes me want to light up a Marlboro and cuddle.

Then there was the fun and games inside the convention hall – nothing like blue stater on blue stater fratricide to quicken the pulse and put a spring in your step. That glorious intramural warfare led to a Republican president. It may well again in 2016.

Back in 1968, the Democrat Party was divided between liberals who loved America and liberals who hated everything about it. The situation is a little different now, with today’s Democrat Party divided between liberals who hate everything about America and liberals who really, really hate everything about it.

The delightful scene at Netroots where Martin O’Malley was forced to do penance before a jeering crowd of washed-out undergrads for the sin of saying “All lives matter” was a harbinger of the future. The Democrats are on the verge of being sucked into their own vortex of progressive insanity that will bar them from any chance to reach out of their psychotic echo chamber to normal Americans. It serves them right.

Hillary doesn’t need this. Her poll numbers are plummeting – gee, who would have thought that a corrupt, condescending, commie shrew might be unpopular? Hillary is America’s First Wife, a sour, sexless, disapproving presence eager to spend the next eight years telling us all how we are failing to measure up to her exacting standards.

She’s also what passes for diversity among the Democratic candidates, and then only because she is one of those woman women, the kind of woman that has woman DNA and not just a whim to be a chick today.

Well, I’m afraid that what I’m expecting is yet another race to the bottom. Who will produce the worst candidates, and screw up worse in the primaries, the Republicans or the Democrats?

At least the Democrats know how to stack votes and cheat much better than their imitators in the GOP. And they own 99% of the media.

I was just a preteen boy in the summer of 1968. We didn’t even have a television but my grandmother did. She was a lifelong Democrat who, in her younger days, had campaigned for FDR. I got a great political education and watched her transform in those few days where we watched TV together.

Well I wouldn't count on the Democratic convention being like 1968. If Shrillary gets nominated, you can be sure that the convention hall will be crammed full of rabidly enthusiastic Clinton brownshirts and every minute will be carefully scripted and staged - just like in Nuremberg. There may be protesters outside but the mainstream media will be instructed to not pay attention to them.

The author is delusional. The Dems have won the popular vote 5 out of the last 6 elections. It really doesn’t matter who their nominee is. Any Dem starts out with a huge electoral advantage. The path to victory is far easier for them than the GOP. The question is what states will the Dems lose that Obama won?

Their convention could feature live acts of cannibalism and a Tijuana donkey show, and conclude by nominating a Golden Retriever.

47% will still pull the “D” lever to keep the free sh*t a-flowin’

68 RAT convention scenario can never be repeated. The conventions are totally canned and orchestrated now. The nominee has already been selected, the floor votes are pro forms. It’s too bad. The media-supported primary process has ruined the nominating process.

Actually, I think the implosion of the GOP will be far more fun to watch. As good as Trump is, he may push it right over the edge.

Article contains the best description of the Dem Party to date.

“Nineteen sixty-eight was the year normal Americans saw the Democrats for what they were, and that’s the danger for them in 2016 too – that normal Americans will be reminded about what a circus of welfare-chiseling, race-obsessed, work-averse, baby-shredding freaks the Democrat party is”.

I want some of whatever this guy is smoking.

Just ‘cause Hillary!’s vileness is becoming self-evident even to the Democrat constituency doesn’t mean that the Democrat candidate won’t win. Between the Free Stuff Army, vote fraud, and women too stupid do other than vote their gender, the Democrats are still in good shape. Add to that the GOP-E’s intent to select a “moderate” candidate and the Democrats may have the election cinched.

My cynical sides says: “wishful thinking”.
The only way to get this country back on the right track is the complete dissolution of socialism and fascism.
The left has completely embraced this.
It will take a Reagan on steroids to fix our nation.
And I’m not holding my breath.

Their convention could feature live acts of cannibalism and a Tijuana donkey show,

In 1959 I witnessed a donkey show in Nuevo Laredo, while being "in love with a 16 year old 'Mexican Virgin, as her brother told me' before the $2 was exchanged for the encounter".

I've since been around the world, witnessed many unusual encounters, but NOTHING is as impactful as a donkey show.

The only event more mind damaging would be hildabutchbitch kankle b*nging huma.

Heck Yeah! Lets get rid of both parties. Trump and Cruz need to create a party for the people.

While I think those 4 sentences were worth reading the article for, my concern (expressed by others) is another line in the story,
“…that normal Americans will be reminded…”
Today, how many “normal” Americans are there? And will they get out and vote?
