"McLame is an awful senator...war hero or not doesnt matter does it." RINO McLame wrongly ignores the federal governments constitutionally limited powers by voting yes on bills which the feds have no constitutional authority to make. Hes an excellent example why the ill-conceived 17th Amendment should never have been ratified imo.

but a lot do.
And most of them have no way of knowing for sure.

He wasn’t a hero. He said it himself. He served honorably, but so did millions of others.

He would have never been on that plane without his family connections.
Yes. I believe he was a,war hero but he wore that horse out. Now he is just a RINO clown show.
I’ll add that a,lot of people in our armed services paid a much higher price than him and never got the miles out of it like McCain did.

McCain was a victim of circumstance. He was a POW. Audie Murphy was a war hero. The term “hero” is so over applied that it’s true meaning and impact is now diminished. Just because you wear or did wear the uniform doesn’t make you a hero, or even a respectable human being. McCain is neither.

I think we need to see the evidence of his heroism; there are many who are skeptical considering his abysmal public record in the Senate.

The voting must be broken, because it said 100% yes for me. Maybe it is a social experiment?

Was Patton a war hero? Yes but he did a despicable act against one of his men. Should we erase his heroism because of it? No. Nor should we McCain. That said he is one of the worst senators in DC and I wish for mental health reasons he would retire. McCain could have taken the easy way out with his family influence and become a ships company Officer and at his rank when shot down he would have likely Captained a ship.
For those who are confused by this the Commanding Officer of a Navy ship is referred to as being the Captain of the ship regardless of his rank. A LTCDR rank for many ships is the Commanding Officers rank. Carriers is one of the exceptions the Captain must not only be a ranked Captain but also a Pilot or that was true when I was in.
Instead McCain took one of the more deadlier jobs in the Navy during war. Others with privileged families did not and never saw combat.
