(CNN)—Weeks after making headlines amid accusations that she is a white woman passing herself off as African-American, Rachel Dolezal says she is no longer confused about who she is.
She is a black woman, she told Vanity Fair.
"It's not something that I can put on and take off anymore," Dolezal said. "Like I said, I've had my years of confusion and wondering who I really (was) and why and how do I live my life and make sense of it all, but I'm not confused about that any longer. I think the world might be -- but I'm not."
Dolezal stepped down as head of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP in June over criticism that she's portrayed herself as black, even though her parents told a local newspaper that the 37-year-old was born white. She said then that she identified as black, and Dolezal maintains that she wasn't being deceptive.

It’s the same self deception that exists in “transgender” and homosexual belief.
And the fact that quite a bit of the left sees nothing wrong with it should tell the general populace something.
But humans are stupid in general.
She mentioned becoming fascinated by black culture as a child. My guess -- given her dysfunctional family, she was probably escaping in it to the point of losing touch with reality. Children of abusive or dysfunctional homes may often split.

If the drool over Jenner how can they hod this person to a different standard.
She has great standing to sue for having been put in a bad working enviornment with seemingly racist people.
Yeah, that would be quality entertainment.
The reason she is not forgiven is that she was born White, and she must pay the penalty for that unforgiveable sin the rest of her life. Claiming to be Black won’t save her.
She should give back all the benefits and privileges she acquired by converting to Black.

Can she explain how she was born of white parents & be black at the same time? Silly me,I always thought that condition was permanent.
