I’ll tweet a picture later, if I remember.

Is Maggiano’s an Italian restaurant?

It sounds like the slang for the Dallas/Fort Worth area....one section of smallish cities is called HEB (Hurst/Euless/Bedford) and the entire area is called “The Metroplex”. I doubt folks who don’t live there know any of those names. DMV makes sense to me.

It is supposed to get up to the mid-90’s here today-a few degrees below average for this time of the year, but close enough for me...

I like that Trump is a bomb thrower who gets people to speak openly, but that is not what a pres needs to be about-he is too lacking in tact for the job, IMHO.

Hillary’s handlers must be
A somewhat timorous bunch-
Does she read the riot act
To them daily before lunch?

She probably warns them to
Be sure and toe that line-
Don’t look her in the face
And all will be just fine...

She thinks she’ll be Queen
Like when Bill was in power-
But the idea of their return
Is less pleasant by the hour...

I’m going to do Husky girl’s bi-weekly shampoo under the trees and towel dry her in the shade-be right back...

We put Buffy in the pool after she got all filthy in the rain and mud. As she paddled about, the dirt came off her in clouds darkening the water. Too funny! She came out spotlessly clean. Smelled like chlorine, though. We haven’t repeated it, but it was funny.

That had to be funny to see-sort of like a dog fizzie in a glass of water.

Husky girl is squeaky clean, has herbal flea deterrent from the shampoo on her that smells great, and she romped around, got toweled and shook off water outside, so she isn’t totally wet. She came in jumping around, ate up the food in her bowl and is taking a nap here bedside the desk.

I just want every day to be happy for her-even though she is healthy and active, she is very old-over 16-for a dog that large-Siberian Huskies are long lived for their size but she is past the upper end of their lifespan. I know she won’t be with me forever, but I want her life to be as perfect as possible-she is a great companion and deserves that...

When that former caretaker burst into the front door and threatened me the first day I’d moved in here, she jumped up from where she was sitting, snarling like a wolf, startling the jerk as I picked up my pistol and pointed it in his direction-she never even hesitated.

When we are outdoors at night, she has warned me by growling and moving close in front of me when she smells a mountain lion or wild hog at the fence near the river-before I see eyeshine or hear it moving through the grass. She is nearly as much of a deterrent as My German Shepherd or Chow were-she’s not quite as big or as ferocious-even though she wasn’t bred to be a guard like they were. For those things alone, I owe her the best of anything I can provide for as long as she lives.

that made me tear up, T5, there is nothing better than the love of a dog. Well people-love, I guess, but DOGlove is right up there, and superior in a lot of ways.
