that made me tear up, T5, there is nothing better than the love of a dog. Well people-love, I guess, but DOGlove is right up there, and superior in a lot of ways.
I actually like animals more than I like a lot of people-especially cats and dogs, and that is probably because I was raised on a ranch where the care of and interaction with animals was a part of life. The fact that any of my dogs is/were willing to protect me is something that gets them a great deal of my respect-and I’ll do the same for them.
I think the love of pets for owners is unconditional and genuine, unlike that of most people. I stopped at the deli on the way from work and got a turkey, cheese and veggie pita for dinner-Husky girl got some of the pita, cheese and turkey mixed with her food, which made it new and delicious for her, so she is a very happy dog now.
