It has become something of a yawner at FreeRepublic to read the endless, “Let’s enforce the constitution we have.” Couple that bumper sticker admonition with “kick out the rinos,” and one can understand Einstein’s definition of insanity.
The fact is that Obama has swept legislative and judicial powers into the executive branch.
DO YOU GET IT? Do you understand that Obama is a tyrant? To what purpose do elections serve arbitrary power?

The really bad news is that the precedent has been set. Even if we recover and fully restore freedom, America’s next tyrant may not be so petty or inept.

Yes, it is a sorry fact that our once republic functions far more on the basis of Leftist precedent than on supreme law. The antidote is to return to the Framers’ constitution of powers divided between the states and the government they created.
The GOP surrendered to obama and allows him to be a tyrant.
AS the Democrats were taken over by the hard left over the years it’s not a wonder the hard left have compromised the leadership of the Republican Party.
I’ve stated since before coming to FR in officially 2004 (actually lurking here since 2001 while at another site) the warning of the RINO’s redefining conservatism for their purpose, and now today the RINO’s address themselves as conservatives while calling true conservatives whack-o’s.
The RINO’s are the GOPe today. Conservatism is so deliberately misconstrued even some conservatives are in doubt as to their conservatism.
We risk becoming inconsequential by forming a third party to gain back what is our basic identity thanks to the deliberate sabotage at the hands of the Left, but it appears to be the only way to regain control of whom we are, and to be able to press forward our position.
The Republican Party has been successfully destroyed, and the debris that remains laying about has been policed up, and placed into a tool pouch of the Socialist-Democrats.
Congratulations are in order for a job well done by the Socialist-Democratic leadership. They won.
Obama does and says what he’s told. I’d like to know who gives him the direct orders. It’s probably Jarrett. But who gives her orders? Who “owns” the NSA? They’ve got so much stuff on all the politicians and the media and the judges that they control everything. Whoever “they” are.
By the way, the Brian Williams slap down was a warning to other media.

Jacquerie- it seems like there’s an element of disbelief & denial about what has been- & is, happening to our country. We are (not all of us, certainly) fiddling, hemming, & hawing while [America] burns.
It’s tragic that (unreasonable, imho) fear is preventing us from doing all we can to try & stop 0bama, the left, & their allies in the republican party from destroying us & turning America into a socialist/ communist country.
Answer: elections are what they allow to give us some shredded fig leaf of relevance. Increasingly they are rigging even those.

I suspect that the majority of Americans do not understand what that means. The ramifications are horrific.
When a tyrant is in power, he can put boots on the throat of companies, use drones to murder here and overseas, and there are already people who will be assassinated and an ‘Oswald’ accused, as was the case in the North Carolina mass shooting. All of it legal.
