I've been a political junkie since I was 16 years old, but, I have never heard a political speech like Donald Trump's speech today in Phoenix, AZ.
I'd like to hear from some FReepers as to what was the one or two things in the speech that stood out, the most, to you? My two would be:
#1. Five (5) Sanctuary Cities in Florida during Jeb Bush's time as Governor.
#2. Why would America elect a woman who was the worst Sec. of State in the history of our nation, to the Office of President of the United States?
I wish I could remember the word(s) he used to diss Al Sharpton.
Thanks for the explanation. This describes all the major cities in Texas and a good many of the others.

He doesnt know what he doesnt know about conservatism, and at some point he will say something that even his biggest fans will recognize as a damning revelation about the real man beneath the schtick.

Trump slipped up big time today and let his true statist colors show, and I quote: “We have to take care of everybody...get used to it conservatives.” He was of course speaking about socialized medicine. “We’ve got to repeal and replace it,” he said of Obamacare. In other words, he really thinks he can do socialism better than Obama. Sorry Donald. This conservative, and many like me, will never, ever accept the imposition of state socialism. It’s a deadly violation of the enumerated powers of our Constitution. It’s a coup d’etat. It’s the enslavement of the American people.
He did so today, as I spelled out in my last post.
I said that earlier in this thread and the braindead poster you addressed that to accused me of lying.
Of course Trump supports socialized medicine. As a liberal it is just one of the liberal positions he supports.
Said the poster who doesn't know what quotation marks and the word "apparently" mean.
Speaks the truth
Didn’t he say, “I will make it great again?”
Your comment was that it was refreshing to hear a candidate talk about what is important to America.
My comment was appropriate. Cruz has been doing so all along
He named names. Nobody does that, ever.
Well, until now. Trump can get away saying things no other Politician can. Then again, he really isn’t a Politician.
I relished his Jeb and Hillary zingers. Me bad. LOL
What you said.
X 100.
I had no idea but it doesn’t surprise me. It’s beyond disgusting.
Thanks for the link. I’m going to use it.
I’m in Durango, CO, a Sanctuary City and the liberal rag here won’t cover any of the murders by illegals, etc.
Nice try, But JC has replied to me privately and apologized. Unlike you, he isn't into personal attacks. That's because unlike you he wants to stick around. I know, you said you have been banned and you can just come back with a new name. Some of us don't play by those rules, nor do we buy the "DU plant" BS said about long time FReepers when it comes from someone like you who has been here a scant few months.
My conservative bona fides have been well established. Your talk of "DU plant" only serve to make you look foolish. BAnd who are all of these posters who are supposed to be ignoring me? You certainly don't.
I think you forgot the sodomite strong hold on the bayou, home of anise porker... Houston.
Trump reiterated in my worst fear, that many of the politicians now in key positions in our government might really be as stupid as they seem when it comes to running the business of government, applying the rule of law, and handling foreign affairs.
If the corruption and confusion we see IS the result of ineptness, not Pharaoh’s great plan, God help us. If so, our nation’s guard is down and we are divided among ourselves by petty social issues that we thought we resolved a long time ago. We are ripe for the picking. Maybe we should be scared, very scared for our survival as a people and a nation.
As Trump pointed out, it is evident our elected officials are not working for the average American citizen. Their inability to negotiate and deal with issues important to the majority of us is evident in every issue they touch upon. They have royally screwed up this country.
Although degreed in the finest universities, some of these people have never had a job or worked for a living. Some have never driven a vehicle. Some can’t even ride a bicycle straight without breaking a leg. All have a standing army of valets, a fleet of limousines and airplanes, and unlimited funds at their call. They are consumed in a life of royalty. They command us, not serve us. They cause problems, not resolve them. This is nothing new, we have seen this before in the history books. And history has not been kind to them. Why do they expect us be any different.
I could go on but it makes me sick to see my Republic disappearing before my eyes. Trump and Ted Cruz have brought new hope that someone cares. Even so, I have been disappointed before.
