Thank God he wasn't black otherwise this would have been a racist attack by police officers and the police would be charged with murder and Al Sharpton would get paid boooyeeee. No just us, no peas, black lives matter except for those killed by other blacks!

"The stunning point-of-view footage begins on May 31 in the Applebees restroom."Remember this statement if you ever go to an Applebees restroom.

In terms of video quality, that was the best cop cam video I’ve seen of a shooting. Cop’s shooting was right on target, little recoil, just how it’s supposed to be. Now.. should he have shot the guy 13 times? I’ll leave that to others to decide. The shooting itself was justified, imo.

One less dumb ass. What kind of fool pulls a stunt like that.

I saw the video. Despite the female cop screaming “Gun! gun! gun!” I think they did right. The perp pulled what looked like a real pistol and pointed it at the girl cop.

I watched this a couple of days ago on a gun forum where it came out that the female officer contributed 3 of the shots. Other PDs considering video systems ought to look into the one used here, it’s one of the highest quality POV videos I’ve ever seen.

Either suicide, or maybe he’d been drinking and not thinking straight?
To: riverrunner
Watch her POV camera, she initially pulled her Taser and aimed, then reholstered it and drew her gun.

Was this a legit shoot? Of course it was.
Having said that it resulted from a tactical failure. Had they checked the suspect for weapons on first contact in the restroom the non-weapon would have been discovered. Think for a moment while you review the taped incident. While escorting the suspect out of the restaurant the two officers are separated with one ahead and one behind the suspect as shown in the video. At any time during the walk the suspect could have chosen the moment to draw and fire on the officers had the weapon been a genuine firearm. This happened in the past having to do with a forgery suspect being escorted from a department store. An initial pat down would have precluded both incidents which might have eliminated what occurred in the events cited. In the second instance cited one of the officers, a detective, was killed.
Put yourself in the scene and imagine what you should have done to avoid this outcome if you were one of the officers. Tactics, tactics, tactics!

“should he have shot the guy 13 times?”
Let’s assume the first bullet killed him. What is illegal about shooting a dead man twelve more times or 100? Once you are dead, you are dead. End of story.
