The wall should be built, but the answer is in the rule of law.
We need to detail illegals who are caught, not release them pending a hearing that they will not bother attending. They should be held at the border until a hearing, which should take minutes, not weeks. We need a law saying illegals should then be fingerprinted, DNA-swabbed, retina-scanned, and permanently denied any path to citizenship or even legal entry. Illegals should be deported, with assets (if any) seized up to the cost of the hearings and deportation. Out of respect for the rule of law, we should return (after taxes) the remainder of their assets into an account in their home countries.
We should enforce employment laws, imposing the maximum legal penalty per illegal employee on employers paying under minimum wage or other employers who know or should have known that their employees were illegal aliens. We may be required by humanitarian values or by law to provide education and medical care to illegals, but Immigration officials should pick up illegals at school or follow them home to collect them with their families, and they should be sent to their home counties.
We need a law that “sanctuary cities” will be denied federal funds up to the cost of enforcing immigration law in those cities, and then Immigration officers should make a special effort to round up the concentrated illegals in those cities. The survival of our country depends on the rule of law, and we need to restore that standard - admittedly an impossible task until the petty tyrant in our White House is removed from the office he has usurped, on january 20, 2017.

I have nothing against Trump and I really believe Cruz would make a decent president.
But i don`t agree with building any walls when over hauling the social (socialist) system and stopping the drug war would do the job much better.

Ted Cruz Ping! In addition to a wall I would go as far as proposing a 12 mile free fire zone south of the wall. Anyone and anything moving in the zone quickly gets hit with DPICM.
