Pinging the list.
Oh, yes, by the way - we got our first two cukes of the season. Made refrigerator DILL pickles. Totally sugar and salt free, but plenty of other spices and sliced onions to go with. Makes a great side dish.
Anyone ever make pickles the old fashioned - fermented - way? I’m thinking about giving it a try.
Gardens are doing well. Loads of Amish paste and cherry tomatoes. Cukes enough to make our first pickles and onion mix. Jalapeno& other peppers are doing nicely. Cyans are slow to turn red. These were bought from a local garden store rather than seed started with the rest back in February.
Wishing everyone a great, safe 4th of July and let us remember why we celebrate our Independence Day.
Yes, prayers for johnny and Arrowhead.
Had a shock. My corn was just about ready to pick, in the community garden.............someone thought it was ready and picked every one. Hope they enjoy it.
My cukes are done, so will be pulling the vines and get the keyhole garden ready for fall planting. The tomatoes are going crazy.
Happy Independence Day everyone. God Bless this land.
