Patrick Macnee, star of the 1960s TV series “The Avengers,” has died. He was 93.
His son Rupert said in a statement that Patrick Macnee died Thursday at his home in Rancho Mirage.

Gosh I loved the avengers. Loved Mr. Steed and his Bentley. Had the biggest crush on Mrs. Peel and her little lotus she drove. They both had what is so sorely missing today... Class. May he rest in peace.

Macnee was one of the few men I’ve ever seen that could wear a Derby and make it look cool.
The other, of course, being Curly Howard... but Curly could make a machine gun out of HIS derby!!! (See “Disorder in the Court”).
