A New Jersey couple is suing the couple that sold them their $1.3 million dream house, along with the realtor and an unidentified alleged stalker dubbed "The Watcher," who they say forced them to flee by sending creepy letters.
The couple, whose names are being withheld out of concern for their safety, received the first of many messages just three days after they plunked down $1.3 million for their new home in the tony New Jersey borough of Westfield, according to their lawsuit, first reported by NJ.com.
"Why are you here? I will find out," read part of the first of The Watchers letters. "My grandfather watched the house in the 1920s and my father watched in the 1960s. It is now my time."

Before walking from a million dollar home, I would ask the FBI to do a DNA analysis on the letters. Knowing a profile might be very revealing.
I wouldn’t live in the Bronx either. Again, you are setting up a strawman. There are parts of Georgia I’d stay out of as well. But I don’t define all of Georgia by them.
Not at all. There are NO parts of NY that I would live in again. I value the relative freedom of FL and GA far more the availability and variety of Manhattan restaurants or the scenic beauty of the Hudson valley. You're looking at different criteria than I am. I look at regulations, taxes and laws. You're looking at the appearance. To me appearance is way down the list.
Now I've spent several years in GA and AL and that area has much going for it. I miss the Waffle Houses, the polite people and getting to spend 9 months a year out of doors without a winter coat (though the heat and humidity is brutal during the summer months.)
Yes, the taxes are lower there but then again, so are incomes, so everything's relative. I pay way more taxes up here but even with taxes taken out, I clear double what I would take home down there for the same type of work.
That said, Atlanta is a world class city so if people from Georgia want city life, they have that option too. But like NYC, there are some areas of Atlanta you need to steer clear of.

Why are you inflicting your opinion on people who don’t care about it. You sound like a liberal who likes to lecture others.
Fully agree with you Sam. Every place has positives and negatives. I like Georgia a lot, one of my uncles who grew up there couldn’t wait to leave...to each his own.
I just don’t get people who have to hop on threads just to insult other people’s homes.
This is a FORUM tootsie roll. The purpose of a FORUM is to discuss OPINIONS. If you don't like my opinion don't read it

I love unintentional irony.
You're absolutely right; it isn't. I don't hold GA to be all that great, just better than the northeast. I've lived in NY, MD, VA, GA, and FL. I actually like FL best. High property taxes, but NO state income tax and no state estate tax.
One of my main criteria is restrictions (or lack thereof) on gun ownership. Of course all my firearms were lost in a fishing incident, but prior to that I had an Uzi and some of the evil ugly firearms. I don't think I could even legally own those in NY or NJ.
Seems to be the USPS is delivering the letters.

Yeah it’s a forum and yeah we discuss opinions. Any j*ck*ss is entitled to spout their opinion no matter how irrelevant or obnoxious. Congratulations you’ve done your part !!!
In my state the seller only has to disclose malevolent spirits. Benign ones, no. My wife is convinced we had a nice one (former occupant - deceased).
Again with the unintentional irony. You ought to quit before you embarrass yourself further. Of course you probably don't have the wit to realize it.
Bad Ronald! I’ve been trying to find the name of that movie for years. Thanks!

Embarrass myself further ??? hahah. This from the guy who jumps into a thread, totally ignoring the original story and just posts an obnoxious comment about a state in which many Freepers live.
What was your point in doing that ??? Are we all better people because now we know you don’t like New Jersey ??? Well color me enlightened....I can now die in peace.
And PS...please think up a new line about the guns and boating accident...I don’t remember if it was your line first or if you hijacked it from someone else but it’s old and no longer clever.
LOL! Down here we would just leave the door open and the lights off at night. Pretty soon a couple of boom booms and no more watcher. :-)
for later
Awesome! Thanks :)
