Opposite - teens have been reporting for years that they could get pot more easily than cigarettes or beer, which is not surprising considering that sellers of legal (for adults) drugs usually 'card' while sellers of illegal drugs never do.
and do we really need a bunch more people smoking joints, getting high, killing their brain cells, etc.?
Do we need them doing this with alcohol? Should we ban that drug?

I was about to respond with the same thing.
I smoked darn near every day from 14-18 years old. It was a heck of a lot easier to get than beer. Liquor, forget about it. We had ABC stores in NC. I was never without pot. This was 1978-1982. Anyone doesn’t think it’s more available to kids today is living in a cave.
I assume you saw the recent sting on pot shops in Washington State??? Your assertion is wrong.
I would have no problem banning alcohol. How many millions have been killed by it?
