Don't forget, good fellas’ was based on the non-fiction book by Henry Hill who is portrayed by Ray Liota and is realistic to the way the mob operates. It's definitely in my top 10 along with the first two Godfather movies which are in the 1 and 2 slot for me.

“I didn’t care much for Brian DePalma’s The Untouchables either.”

Totally agree, complete disappointment.

Er, no. Not every guy dreams about being an amoral leech on society.

True story. Johnny Roast Beef threatened to break my legs once because an actress he liked was flirting with me.

It was funny because he wasn’t the least bit scary. He was just a fat f**k who bought a pink Cadillac and ended up in a meat truck.

I’ll take the heavy TV-ized Robert Stack series or even that 90s rehash.

I abhor mafia/gangster movies of recent times. Glorifying these monsters is not entertainment.

I didn't think the movie was great, but the best thing about it is that the characters are portrayed as anything but glamorous. My conclusion at the end was "Why didn't they just go legit? They spent so much effort to be criminals they could have had a much easier life with a normal job."

I liked the old Bronson movie called “The Family” or “Violent City” with his young wife Jill Ireland.

Italian production.

Some great vintage Can-Am car racing footage. (grin)
