My "hood" is not Baltimore or Ferguson. But if the our men and women in blue can be bullied in Texas, it can happen anywhere. We need to start a movement NOW! #LoveourBlue- heck we have throwback thursdays on FB and Mancrush Mondays... why not#LoveourBlue Tuesdays?

Our men and women in blue NEED to know that we support them. And our communities NEED to know that we demand our neighbors live as law abiding citizens.

Please start the LOVE OUR BLUE movement in YOUR area- call your local police dept, ask what you can do to let them and your community know that you support them.

National Night Out is a great start. Invite them to your block and meet them, let your kids meet them.

We will not stand for corruption within our police, but we will not stand with any officer risking it all to keep us safe.

When I see a local cop doing his/her job, I always say *THX for serving* .....but having a special movement for just them is stretching it. Otherwise, we need the same for the school custodian, every inner city teacher and every fast food employee who gets the order straight.

Cops in my hood still make stuff up as they go along and are anything but pillars of law enforcement.

Good luck with your effort; hope it makes you feel good and makes a cop feel good.

Sorry , NO CAN DO. Why would I associate myself with someone who can do me absolutely no good. The best advice is now and shall remain “Don’t Talk To The Police” ... I will grant them some semblance of respect when they stop working as the Kings “Sheriff of Nottingham” and start respecting the Constitution.

I care about the people that will die due to the cops walking away from their responsibilities but I would rather see this period of having them “adjust” back to their rightful and LEGAL role than to see the abuses of ALL the people continue... The people might learn to take care of more of their own problems themselves from this.

I stopped into my neighborhood police station yesterday to let the guys and gals there know that I support them.

I let them know that I think they’ve gotten a raw deal over the last few years - from Cambridge, to Trayvon, to Ferguson, to NY, to Baltimore, and now McKinney, TX.

The lady Sgt was very appreciative, and notated everything I said so that she could pass it on to the rest of the crew.

Stop in at your local PD the next time you’re passing by and tell them you’re in their corner. You won’t believe how much they’ll appreciate hearing it.
