A Virginia woman charged with leaving her one of her two children inside her hot car last month apparently did not learn her lesson the first time, leaving the children in the car again on Monday as she turned herself in to authorities.
Laquanda Newby of Henrico, Va., now faces three counts of contributing to the delinquency or abuse of a child, reports CBS 6 out of Richmond. Newby was initially accused of leaving one of the children, ages 6 and 1, inside the car as she shopped at Sam's Club on May 26.
When she showed up at the Henrico County Courthouse on Monday to turn herself in on a warrant, she left both children in the car in 90-degree weather, the news station reports.
Surveillance video from outside the courthouse showed that the children had been in the car, with the windows up and the car keys on the floorboard, for more than an hour by the time sheriff's deputies got them out.
"Their shirts were wet, sweat rolling off their brows," Henrico Sheriff's Capt. David Kinkle told CBS 6. "They seemed to be OK, but it was very hot."
The deputies brought the children into the courthouse and gave them water and snacks until their father could pick them up. Newby was booked into the jail, where she was later denied bond.

Urban dictionary defines the name “Laquanda” as connoting strong, sassy Black ghetto woman. Ain’t that just special? What a self-fufilling prophecy for a parent to foist on a newborn!
Quando - Latin for adverb “when?,” “at what time.” Comes down in romance languages.
LaQuanda turns out to be a good female appellation for a woman who doesn’t know when it’s time to think about and take care of her children.
