The cause of an early morning fire north of San Diego was an electrocuted bird falling from an active power line
A bird carrying a snake in its talons struck power lines north of San Diego, sparking a hillside fire just west of The Merge.
San Diego Police arrived to the location on Dunhill Street near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 805 just before 6 a.m.
Flames were burning very close to businesses including the General Atomics building, officials said.
Officers called in San Diego Fire-Rescue crews who contained the fire within an hour.
Fire officials initially told NBC 7 a bird with a snake in its mouth was electrocuted on a power line and fell to the ground, sparking the fire. A photo released by officials later shows the snake in the hawk's grasp.
"A hawk that hit the high voltage power line, caught fire, and fell to the ground," SD Fire-Rescue spokesperson Lee Swanson said in a written release.
There were no structures damaged and no evacuations ordered.
This area of San Diego is home to many companies in the region's biochemical industry.
FF blocked Flash because Adobe hadn't patched a zeroday..
First thing - on right hand side of the whatever they call it bar at the top is a box that looks like three horizontal lines. Click that and you'll get a box with settings in it. First thing to check is if Flash is installed as a plug-in. Click Add-ons and you'll get a page that has five items - click plug-ins for a list of those that are installed (usual ones would be Adobe Acrobat, Flash, and Java). The current version number for flash is 18.0.0.209. Click the 'check to see if plugins are up to date' thing at the top. If any are flagged as out of date, tell it to download the update. You will need to restart FFox after the updates to enable them.
If the present version of flash is vulnerable replacing it with the fixed version should allow flash to run. You might get a nag thing asking you to 'allow' flash each time.
Let me know if that fixes things.
My ipugs unlock code. :)
The only Idiot I know is in the white hut..
I will have to do this in the morning. My brain is just NOT going to cooperate with what my heart wants to do.
Thanks! And now, I’m off to bed!
BTW - the latest version of FF is 39.0. In that box you get when you click the three line thingie, down at the bottom is a question mark thing. Click that and then ‘about firefox’ to see what version you have.
The main reason I do not and will not use Chrome is because Goo-Gle is just as or maybe even more evil than M$.. I figure with Android on my smortphome Goo-Gle gets enough info about me without them following me around the internut too.. ;-)
Hope you have a good night. I wish I could go to bed, but I can’t put the kids to bed before 7:30 at the earliest.
Night, night.
All.
Maybe you could just run for office as a Democrat. You sound very qualified.
Umm..
Have you considered running for Senate? In those moments when you are looking for a village, you will be no worse than the current critter. In the moments when you are normal and alltogether, you would be about a thousand percent improvement...
;-)
I have resisted Chrome because I have no use for Goober. I tried it once when I was disgusted with IE and it took me almost a week to undo the damage. And I really don’t want to use it. At all.
Now that I have slept (11 hours) I will attempt to follow the destructions you gave me. :o]
Great minds...
I don’t know what version of FF you are using but nothing on mine matches up with what you suggested I do. Not even the the little question mark thingy. And there are like seven or eight things on the list instead of five, and I never found the one you said to click on.
Talk about states of confusion. *sigh* My bad. I’m hopeless.
How does you feel about downloading the latest version of Firefox?
Did you never get Opera to work on your desktop?
So. Did you two collaborate on what to tell me? You each have a mind-scanning debice, right? Two-way wrist redios? Tinfoil helmets?
Very funny!
Apparently we have both been pWned by the latest organicware vulnerability.
