Trump said the Republicans are pushing the deal because they dont understand the topic and theyre making a mistake.
Its because you have lobbyists lobbying for this thing, and you have lobbyists representing areas of industry, you have lobbyists representing countries, Trump said.

more machine than man...yeah, that’s about right. I had assumed more child than man. Debating him is like arguing with my kids when they were like 8.
It’s kind of amazing really. Cruz, who has one of the most brilliant legal minds in the country, read the entire bill, said it was like what we have had in the past and it should have already been made public. Instead of at least listening to his reasons for voting for it, they would rather take the word of a grandstander who hasn’t read the bill and wouldn’t understand it if he did.
Cruz is known for being a man of his word. Trump, not so much.
I’m not interested in giving Obama any more power than he already has. And I’m not interested in yet another trade deal that undermines American businesses.
I learn a lot on FR. There’s a ton I don’t know and I really appreciate it when I’m corrected. FR is worth it just for all the insight and expert opinion. But when I meet guys who just won’t learn or grow it’s either on the religion forum or trolls.
It is you blinded by your religion who has a beam in his eye.
Look, when we get into a war with China and/or Russia I will stick up for my Free traitor Free Republic friends as long as the recant. You know this 40 year suicidal free trade experiment ends when the first hostile shot is fired. So be careful.

There are a lot around here stuck on stupid, or maybe, stuck on ignorant. It's easy to pick them out. They say the same things over and over...they accuse those who disagree with them of being traitors or tools of the GOP establishment and other such nonsense. In their tiny, ignorant, shallow and very slow brains, they cannot conceptualize that people with good intentions can be on opposite sides of an issue.
These idiots always accuse me of these absurd things- and I never accuse them of being traitors or tools of the estabs. I simply point out the obvious: that they are ignorant and don't understand the topic.
don't get me started on the religion forums...I'll get in trouble...
;-] Got it.
Perhaps I’m mistaken. You won’t impose tariffs on yourself or your family. Maybe that’s not proof of your hypocrisy or the Marxist roots of your ideas. Would you approve of tariffs for an island or city-state?
I don’t think Cruz is interested in Obama having more power either. No trade deal has been put forth yet, but when it is, it will still have to be approved by Congress.
I understand Cruz’s desire for the next President to have this authority, which is good for years after Obama is out of office.
Now you’re advocating for Elizabeth Warren? Wow.
Not at all.
She is running in a party, which is against the second amendment.
But she is for American jobs. So is Trump, incidentally.
I am advocating for Donald Trump.
So Cruz is working to weaken Congressional oversight now, in case he becomes president, he wan’t have to convince Congress.
Not good. The checks and balances are there for a reason, and when we bypass them for our own convenience it backfires.
What is it about “the Congress has to approve the deal for it to go into effect” that you don’t understand?
The part where the constitution requires 2/3 of the Senate to approve, but Fast track only requires a majority vote, and then not to approve, but to disapprove.
And the part where Congress can't amend or filibuster.
And the part where the bill is kept secret and pubic doesn't get to debate it.
Cruz has called for TPP to be released. Says there is no reason for it to be secret.
Any Trade Agreement made under TPP has to be made public for 60 days before Congress votes.
In your own words what is a trade deficit?
Would you approve of tariffs for an island or city-state?
