I wonder how jockey Martin Garcia feels. He was the only other jock to ride AP. He rode him once, in his very first race. Finished 5th, beaten 9 lengths! Victor Espinoza took over after that and has been perfect on him ever since.

He’s supposed to be a very congenial horse. Practically you can take selfies with him all day!
Many of the other racehorses have an aggressive streak, they’ll try to bite you or kick you.
AP had his tail clipped by another horse in the stable!
This was a great show!

WOW! Someone did a lot of work on this thread. While not a horse racing fan I do hope the horse can do it.
You know, American Pharoah is an amazing racehorse, but I really don’t think he could have pulled together all the stats for this thread. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but he IS a horse.

Wow, what a great life. That must have been something. I’m a fairly recent lover of the big races but I’d like to learn more. I have a very underweight 12 year old who used to take riding lessons and I’m trying to talk him into being a jockey... He’s not going for it yet. Lol.
