{The Mom} Radar hopes her son’s death serves as a warning to people about the dangers of cinnamon incompetent, low-info, Obama voting parents.

Fixed it.

Maybe the government ought to enforce a waiting period for the purchase of spices. You know, like a-salt weapons ...

Thanks. I'm here all week.

He didn't die from cinnamon. He died from choking. If he choked to death on a piece of asparagus, would we publish a story about how asparagus kills?

Sad story, but let's be real here.

Any finely ground powder can be inhaled and cause asphyxiation. Baby powder for instance. Ban all powdery substances.

Obama’s Fruit Loop bathing friend was the first one I saw take the Cinnamon challenge.

... had been climbing around their family’s kitchen and was able to get hold of some cinnamon powder before eating it and breathing it in.
Very sad, but it sounds like the boy wasn't being watched properly.

Who’s fault would it have been if the child choked on a spoonful of Comet or dish washing powder? I bet that stuff is easier to get at than the cinnamon.

Just watch, some Nanny state politician will come up with the idea to redesign the caps on Cinnamon containers to limit how much can be dispensed.

Don’t laugh, they did it with gasoline containers.

This death comes at the heels of a popular online trend called the "cinnamon challenge” where participants film themselves eating spoonfuls of the powder

Next up: the "rat poison challenge."

You can't fix stupid.

“and breathing it in”

It was not the “eating” it that killed him.

No, that is not necessarily so. It’s very easy to choke on cinnamon powder, actually, because it is an irritant that makes the air passages close off almost immediately. I was baking something once and dropped the powdered cinnamon, making a little cloud of powdered cinnamon come out of the can. I bent down to pick up the can and inhaled some of the cinnamon dust as I did so, and I thought I was going to meet my fate right there in the kitchen.

Your throat and air passages close up right away. I knew what had happened and I told my self to be calm and not suck it further in, but a child is not going to know that.

Indeed, so does salt can kill. Cinamon is a coagulent and dehydrates. Face palm. But such is our Idiocracy making the nanny government all the more possible.
