I’d like to amend that title to 19 Disgusting Things About The Duggars….and Counting.
Here’s why:
1) Their son Josh was a serial child abuser, yet they don’t seem to even realise this salient fact. ‘He was so young,’ they wailed, ‘he’d just turned 14’…. ‘he was so young’…etc, vomit-makingly etc. Here’s the only fact that matters: Josh Duggar sexually molested FOUR of his own young sisters, one as young as 5, and a baby-sitter.
2) They didn’t report him to anyone for 16 months after he first confessed. That’s not them being ‘failed parents’ as they would have us believe. That’s being an accessory to covering up a crime. When they finally did tell someone in authority, it was to this man. A state trooper who did nothing about it and is now languishing in prison on child pornography charges

4) The Duggars seem more upset that we now all know about Josh’s disgraceful activities than about the activities themselves. Their doe-eyed exclamations of self-pity were utterly disingenuous.
5) They claim none of the victims knew they were being abused, which is obviously palpable nonsense given that some were awake when it happened. The reality is their parents conned them into thinking the abuse wasn’t as bad as it was. Just as they have, for years, conned them into thinking their weird, twisted, religiously zealous, goody-two-shoes lifestyle is ‘normal’ too.

I think my list of priorities was perfectly chronological.
Clearly they felt they would be a great model family for their sect of Christianity, even with four sexually abused girls and one abuser teen. Yeah, Jesus led them to feel they would be great for TV, and TV would be great for these kids. Riiiiiiight. Not their own egos and wallets....
But, if Josh didn’t realize he was committing sexual acts against his sisters, why was he sneaking in and out of their bedrooms at night? Why not just announce himself and say, “Hey, I’m here, I want to do that again!”
They have been lying all along and there are way too many perverts involved every step of the way.
There is definitely more to this. The Duggers are in pure damage control mode and demonizing the opposition.

This why the Bible tells us all not to exalt ourselves above others. People like this give Christians a bad name and it saddens me.
We have this in our religion too. Some Orthodox will act holier than thou and study Torah all day long, ignoring any responsibilities or even kindness to their families. They will spend hours on the tiniest paragraph, oh, so holy, but be rude to people on the street or even cheat someone at work. They think they are religious Jews but they miss the whole point.
Cloaking yourself in Religion Doesn’t make you good. Anyone who admired or liked the Duggars was RIPPED OFF. These are not just good Christians who sin like all of us. These are people who are pretending to be good Christians. There is a difference.

What I find scary, and which nobody seems to want to talk about, is that Duggar is married with kids of his own. Who's looking out for them?

Of course, this “thought” is simply that...and nothing more. It’s something that popped into your fevered imagination as your excitement grows.
To find out what happened to Dunham one need merely to look at her dad’s ‘art’.
Who knows what kind of freak jobs had access to those kids...
do you have proof that the Duggars knew the trooper was into naked kids? As I said before they already ‘went to the cops’ and presumably told others by 2003. Do you have evidence that they were exposed before then? I’m perfectly willing to count them as scum as long as there is evidence that they didn’t actually go to the authorities before they were caught.

You are wrong about this. Rape IS about power. Pedophilia is about sexual attraction. In some cases the two coincide, but not always.
What the parents did represents failure as parents, but they are not mandatory reporters and did not commit a “cover up” crime as has been repeatedly claimed.
Anger and hatred has been directed at Josh for his abominable actions. That is understandable. Ultimately it is up to his victims and God whether he finds forgiveness. No one on this forum (unless she is one of HIS victims) has any say in this matter.
Anger and hatred has been directed at the parents. The left hates them for standing against homosexual “marriage” and transgenderism, etc. Yet we have the same hatred being displayed here for their failure as parents. It is ridiculous to think that punishing the parents will have any positive benefit to society or especially the victims.

What’s next? Do you plan to advocate punishing the victims for forgiving their brother?
Perhaps I am fooled and only time will tell, but who is promoting sexual molestation? I am the first to call out those who parade their sin like Oprah Winfrey, Anderson Cooper, and Piers Morgan. But everything that those of us who have families of our own see in this case is a family that has done everything they can to deal with their son. He is now happily married with a successful family (so far). Once again, perhaps I am fooled, but it looks like success! Those who cannot (and will not) let this go are bordering on mental illness.

His youngest daughter is now at the same age as his youngest sister when he molested her.
If I was his wife, I'd watch him like a hawk but she has those crazy eyes so I doubt she will.
