I lasted for years on XP and will last for years on 7. Minimal issues and I plan on keeping it that way until I can’t.

Win 7 will remain fully functional and still receive security updates until some time in 2020. Then it will start being a liability, as XP is now.

I, too, plan to keep running 7 for a good long time. But I expect I'll switch to 10 at some point.

I also had XP till I got 7.

I have two laptops with 8 - those I might upgrade - but this desktop will stay on 7 ALAP. (It’s a “cold dead fingers” kind of thing.)

its free upgrade for 1st year, so why not. 2nd year you’ll have to pay. Those people who say they won’t update unless force to, must be rich, willing to pay when you could get it free

I’m starting to computer shop now. I’m going Linux, my webserver is already there. All my critical aps now work on Linux, so buh bye microsoft.

Same here. Actually my MGI photo program goes back to W95 and I wuoldn’t change it.
