Donald trump isn’t literally anti-China. He does a great deal of business with China.

He however is strongly saying, and I completely agree, the current “working relationship” is terribly one-sided.

We are building up China.

It is time for America to start supporting America.

I understand that you respect Mr. Trump on his populist viewpoints but have you ever witnessed him debate anybody in his life?

I don’t believe I have.

He has been speaking, or answering an interviewer.

That’s not to say he doesn’t debate, I’m sort of new to Trump’s background, and I honestly don’t really know.

Feel free anyone.

I said that tongue-in-cheek :)

But I support Ted Cruz. Though have some reservation or more angst that even TC will not be able to implement some of his stated foreign policy points, no more how genuinely he means them, because once you’re actually the President, you discover that the proverbial wheel is much bigger than the President, and more complex to spin according to a President’s beliefs or wishes.

I agree the current ‘working relationship’ is one-sided. And, we’ve been building up China since Clinton yrs.

In terms of debt alone that the U.S. owes to China, in trillions, the U.S. dollar is a federal reserve currency and a currency most trade in. That has so far provided the U.S. with a ‘safety net’ and cushions negative impacts against debt and borrowing. Same time, China is addicted to U.S. ‘consumerism’ and ‘spend’. In that sense, it’s a two way relationship.

The other factor is that China is a low cost producer & can afford to flood markets (the U.S. market is huge), with goods that differentiate themselves on price vis a vis competitors, even if the quality isn’t the best; the U.S. has a different cost structure.

Trump is Romney without the business sense and with less class.

When you say he knows how to get things done, you mean he knows how to declare bankruptcy. (four times) He also knows how to take money from daddy and how to take big government handouts.

(oooof)

I don’t agree with you at all, but that is one heck of a criticism there.

I believe Trump is far more purely pro-American than Romney. He is arguably the most pro-American candidate this election, in my opinion.

I think the only thing he and Romney share, is a large amount of capital.

As for class, I really don’t know enough about the guy to judge.

I never watch television so I don’t have experience with his television personality.

Would you consider Trump better than Jeb Bush?

Side note: I hate Jeb Bush on open borders and Common Core.

Or Secretary of Commerce. That is his field of expertise and would give him a chance to help develop a manufacturing and business friendly environment to create those jobs.

He is not a full spectrum candidate for the job of President, but could be very effective at that cabinet post.

Agreed. Finance is his strong suit and the big business types will at least listen to him.

Well Yeah!!! Did you not notice Jeb wasn’t even in my top four. If Jeb wins the nomination, he’ll be the lesser of two evils.

I don’t see anything that indicates that Jeb really understands the trade and economic issues.

Yep, The Donald would job us all right.
He strikes me as the kind of McCain-Bloomberg Repug that, once installed, would do all he could to mollify/placate the left so that they would say & write nice things about him.

"Trump is Romney without the business sense and with less class."

Trump is worth $4 billion, Romney is worth $250 million.

Trump on Gay special rights "It's not my thing." Romney "Boy Scouts should admit gay members."

Seriously Trump isn't hard right, but he certainly isn't anywhere near as liberal as Romney was.
