"Bush is mesmerized by a common grocery store checkout scanner in 1992. This was LONG after scanners were introduced in 1980. "Some say" this is an "urban legend," but you decide. Sorry, source file was only 160x120, not too sharp."

Until I realized the Bush White House had the people working on the McCain campaign who utterly tried to demolish Sarah Palin.

That’s when I woke up about the Bushes, to my everlasting chagrin. They tried to destroy Palin from the lame duck Bush White House. Rove was already going off on Palin/McCain by mid September 2008.

I did not know this, but it has the ring of truth to me. Yes, the Bushies have always hated actual conservatives. They come from the Rockefeller wing of the party.

That bastard Karl Rove is a scumbag that doesn't deserve nearly the credit he gets. Bush won in spite of him, not because of him. Karl Rove is just a rooster taking credit for the sunrise.

I am not a bit surprised that the milquetoast rino contingent of the Republican party was behind this bullsh*t.

I was there, too. I also remember the story about Bush having a mistress on the side; weird how that meme was lost in the memory hole but this scanner meme hasn’t died.

When I first heard it, I believed it too. (About the scanner.) It sounded exactly like Bush. He really did seem out of touch. He seemed utterly clueless about what was going on in the world around him, especially the world of politics. And yeah, I remember that mistress accusation too. I had forgotten about it till you mentioned it.

He only won in ‘88 because we wanted Reagan for another four years.

And that is God's only truth. In 1992, I was so sick of the betrayal and backstabbing by HW, *I* wanted to vote for the Democrat just to put an end to Bush's presidency. But then the Democrats out did themselves in their level of sleazebaggery with Bill Clinton, and I ended up campaigning for George HW.

I'll never forgive him for putting me in the position where I felt the need to campaign for his lousy Presidency, and then ended up losing it anyways.

And seemingly the scenario keeps repeating over and over....

The libs say something..the Pub's believe it..and the libs lie and do the opposite.

The libs play for keeps...the Pub's just go along to get along. As a friend said to me...they are just "sit and soaks"

And the nation consistently moves further and further left. You'd think someone would figure out we need to take over those transmitters.

Bush is a Neanderthal at technology compared to The Lightworker. With his post-doc in optical physics, preternatural knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, and MBA in high-tech finance, Obama was single-handedly able to successfully commercialize the Solyndra solar panels and grow it into a multi-billion dollar business. The return to US taxpayers on his investment in Solyndra was more than 1,000%.

Grocery store price scanners? Pfft...nothing but a flash-in-the-pan...most of those companies went bankrupt after President Bush examined the technology and it disappeared from sight. Today, you don't find price scanners anywhere, but Solyndra solar panels are all over every building in America generating clean, cheap solar power for all.

So what? Do you think that the POTUS, ANY POTUS does his own grocery shopping?

I imagine that Bill Clinton was 'amazed' at how many things had changed when he became a private citizen.

Even now, I'm sure he doesn't do his own grocery shopping.

Probably doesn't even use the computer that much.

...And the best part is that Bill Clinton loves the show and raves at how accurate it is.

I think it’s ultimately just about peacocking libtard depravity and dominance. They no longer even pretend to be good people.

Actually it’s exactly the same. Both have a gap of about 20 years between the actual event and the story, some folks may recall it which makes the story feel more real, and it helps anchor the story.

Or, as the man said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

That part of the Godfather was set in the 1950’s, even if Puzo wrote it in the late 60’s, so it was pertinent to highlight the story about how Sinatra got the part at that time.

I rifled through HOUSE OF CARDS and found the episode — the one in question is actually the 2nd season.

And it remains curious they spent screen time to defend Bush 22 years later— with real specificity — considering how the show slams Tea Party other times.
