Is there a way for me to fix/edit the first post?

Hit “Report Abuse” and ask nicely.

I first learned the word “thug” as a small child when the “Beagle Boys” we’re trying to steal Uncle Scrooge’s money in Donald Duck comic books,
Insofar as the “beagle boys” were dog characters, I guess “thug” was the new “D” word.
Next, if a white person even speaks aloud, it will be the “new N word” to those ashamed of their race.

I think you can add “teen” to the list.

I was told to my face that the term “wilding” was now racist. We have to fight to take back our language.

I’m politically correct. I use “urban”.
As in ‘K-Mart caters to the “urban” market.’

Funny Stuff!
Crowder: "I think your daughter is getting a little antsy."
Woman on the street: "That's actually my nephew."
It's also interesting to note how they couldn't seem to agree on whether St. Trayvon was a thug or not, but they all agreed that a couple of fictional characters are!

I first learned the word thug as a small child when the Beagle Boys were trying to steal Uncle Scrooges money in Donald Duck comic books,
I remember that too. And I'm pretty sure the Hardy Boys dealt with "thugs" as they solved crimes, and I'll wager a zillion detective novels and movies from the 30s and 40s to the present have the word "thug" in them.
Suddenly a bunch of people who have no understanding of the etymology a word are attempting to ban its usage. History began when they got out of bed, apparently.

Is "Thug" Really the New "N Word"?
No, but those who claim so are the "thugs" of free speech and democratic discussion!

History began when they got out of bed, apparently. LOL! Great way of putting it!
Leaving aside its historical evolution, I generally now use the word "thug" to refer to any brutal, violent criminal, generally young, committing a crime of violence against a weak or defenseless person. I suspect many people use it that way.
If most people fitting this description are black, that's something the "black community" needs to deal with - and not by attacking the use of the word "thug."
