And of course it could be man-made gravity-change that contributed to his death.

I feel sorry for their families and those who had to pick up the pieces, but for the jumpers themselves...
The risks were part of the thrill, it's not like they didn't know it was dangerous.
They died doing what they loved. Not a bad deal. They won't complain.

At the age of 5, Potter tried to climb the stone wall that surrounded his family's temporary home , but fell on his head, she said. Alrighty then.

Gravity - it’s not just a good idea, it’s the law.
To: BenLurkin
From one perspective I observe that few of us will actually die doing what we love.
From another I observe the total recklessness of this hack for not wearing a locator so rescuers would be able to find the adrenaline junkie, dead/injured/alive, without major waste of resources and risk to YSAR staff & volunteers’ safety...

They deliberately tried to go between a narrow passage but missed and smashed into the rocks. Others have done this where they try to skim the surface but get smacked down and killed. They must have been a mess of pieces to pick up.

There’s a reason these things are called “extreme.” Its because you put yourself in danger by doing them. This guy did and died, just like a lot of other people who engage in risky behavior. That’s not callous or cold, its just reality.

Evel Knievel did a lot of crazy stuff and broke a lot of bones but lived long enough to die of natural causes. Not sure he'd be onboard with what is called "extreme" these days.
What these guys are doing with this base jumping and these "wing suits" - they are absolutely nuts.
