Yeah, it is good! Molasses are the by-product of the final refinement of cane sugar. It has loads of minerals; has the least effect on the glycemic index of any sweetener. The magnesium in there, combined with the calcium in the milk is great in the evening to promote sleep! Give it a try! 😀

“No telling how long it’s been lurking back there in the bowels of my pantry.”

Well - it has a 1-800 number so it can’t be THAT old.

I have some trade - promotional rulers of my dads that I still use. Has the old “call Walnut-6-2043” (Walnut for WA for 92).

How about The Stu Erwin Show, Luncheon At Sardi’s, ( a round table of celebrities schmoozing a free meal.Way over my head but there wasn’t much of a choice back then.) Junior Frolics, and my favorite ...Tom Corbett Space Cadet. I’m old but I still have my hair, all of my teeth, and my original circa 1953 Superman tee shirt.I hate being old but it beats the hell out of the alternative.

We had a washboard too, and an icebox. My grandmother had a candlestick phone.

We had no phone.:-(

Might have been an old coal bin. I can remember the coal trucks making deliveries.

We used to run up and watch the coal drivers put the metal chute together, pull the chain on the hatch and listen to loud clatter as the coal slid, bounced, and rattled down. Got to pick up the small chunks for throwing. An army of small boys and girls followed the truck down the block.

I vaguely remember the old coal furnace and how glad my dad was when we “finally” switched to oil.

It's really a food chopper but he calls it a Bass O Matic.

That's a wringer on a new fangled washing machine, but there were hand cranked wringers used with galvanized tubs.

Well guess we were more modern. We had a wall phone, eight party and our ring was one long and two shorts. But it never really mattered, if any one was at home anywhere they would also pick up and listen in. Guess we had our own early version of NSA!

I bet that’s how they invented the mammogram! Lol”

That’s pretty funny and unfortunately true. I remember my mom would never ever say anything at all racy or off color. We had a bunch of calves that we had to feed every morning from a bucket that had a nipple protruding out the bottom. She always called it a “dinner bucket”. When we were out of her hearing range, we kids called it what it was!

My grandson has come to understand that I sometimes use what my son calls “grandma language”. Just part of being around older people - we often tend to call it what it is without all the PC or sugar coating.

Worked well on clothes but not so much when they started putting it on their hair. I remember when I was a teenager we used to talk about the “blue hairs”. Pretty funny then, not so funny now that I am one of them.
