40 VolcanoesThe Ring Are Erupting Right Now, And 34 Of Them Are Along Of Fire
The Economic Collapse ^ | 05/14/15 | Michael Snyder

As I have written about previously, there were a total of 3,542 volcanic eruptions during the entire 20th century. When you divide that number by 100, that gives you an average of about 35 volcanic eruptions per year. So the number of volcanoes that are erupting right now is well above the 20th century’s average for an entire calendar year.

especially seems to be true of the Ring of Fire.

If you are not familiar with the Ring of Fire, just imagine a giant ring that runs around the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean. Approximately 90 percent of all earthquakes and approximately 75 percent of all volcanic eruptions occur within this area, and the entire west coast of North America is considered to be part of the Ring of Fire.

For so long, the west coast has been incredibly blessed not to have experienced a major seismic event. But scientists tell us that it is only a matter of time.

And right now, just about every other part of the Ring of Fire is shaking violently.

For example, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake just hit Japan on Wednesday…

Of course, the magnitude of this many volcanoes erupting at the same time would have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the amount of previously sequestered carbon dioxide being belched out into the atmosphere.

Mankind’s contribution to atmospheric carbon dioxide pales into insignificance in comparison to this massive emission from the bowels of the earth itself.

Still, the plant life just gobbles it up very nearly as fast as it is being produced.

Wasn’t there a movie years ago along these lines..all the volcanoes on the Pacific Rim erupt...

IIRC, that movie had the site in the southern hemisphere, encompassing part of Africa.

Well, I clicked on the link to look at the map that wasn’t there. The author could have thought a map would be interesting — or not.

Thanks for the post. I still maintain that the harmonic frequencies emanating from the increased number of wind turbines is cause more and more earthquakes. Might be contributing to globull warming too for all I know.

I lived a few years in the extended shadow of Mt. Shasta. She sits like a queen on a throne overlooking the entire northern Sacramento Valley. For those familiar with the I-5 route coming from Sacramento north, her tip can be seen on a clear day as far south as Dunnigan, about 180 miles away. If this old girl cuts loose on the scale of Mt. St. Helens, northern CA is in for an interesting ride.

As a little kid, the movie Crack In The World, was really scary. I think it was about drilling down to magma for green energy.

To reduce global warming , global cooling, climate change, normal climate variance, the UN needs to OUTLAW VOLCANOES! Making them illegal should cut carbon emissions worldwide! They outlawed God, so why not volcanoes? THAT worked so well for the UN. </sarc>

Thanks to the UN, that asteroid passed by safely yesterday. Now we can return to the everyday horrors of climate change.
