Lemme guess, Obama will send more of his people to bully the museum than he has sent to honour slain police officers’ at their funerals.

And Michelle wonders why blacks ‘don’t feel welcome’ in places like that.

This must be one of those publicly supported Orthodox Jewish schools from Brooklyn. What’s with Brooklyn anyway?

But but but.....I thought they weren’t welcome in museums!
Maybe it’s because uncivilized street thugs feel out of place in museums!

Guggenheim will cave. The same crowd will be let back in. Only this time they will feel empowered by their victory and will feel even less inhibited in their uncivilized behavior.

Act like young adults, no problem. Act like ubdisciplined, uncouth punk thugs, get thrown out and banned. No surprise there, not even the speed of the race card’s arrival. [Said it yesterday]

I feel rather confident that if a group of White children acted in a similar manner they would have been banned as well. Nothing to do with race. Would it be racist to say that from my experience I am, sadly, not surprised by these children’s behavior?

If Michelle had her way the students would be issued cans of spray paint at the door so they could express themselves in the museum.
To: smartyaz
Too many kids, and especially black kids, literally don’t know how to behave in public.

The Guggenheim museum in New York has been accused of racism after allegedly banning a mostly-black high school after students reportedly spat and threw objects. The group of around 80 students from the Science Skills Center High School in Brooklyn were allegedly thrown out of the Upper East Side gallery for disruptive just 20 minutes into their visit last month. One student allegedly spat over the side of the museum's iconic spiraling ramp and another was accused of throwing a penny from the top of the walkway, which is claimed to have hit a security guard. A spokesman for the museum told MailOnline the group were not appropriately supervised and had put the museum's visitors, staff and artwork at risk by 'touching artwork and throwing objects from the ramps.'

Well, those rules are YT’s rules, and people not of YT’s culture resent being held to YT’s standards.

It would be interesting to know what the chaperone status was. How many? Who? What experience they had managing a large group of h.s. students. I’d be surprised if they could get as many as our local guidelines require for field trips. (IIRC 1 chaperone for 5 students, in h.s., more in e.s.). I’m not sure, either, how anyone could work/teach in a school where there were so many misbehaving/disrespectful students.

Should you a rowdy group out for destructive behavior? Sure, absolutely.
Should you then ban the school for life? Nope, that is an amazing bad decision on so many levels. Just stupid. And as an aside, how do you ban a school “for life”? A school is not a living thing. I assume they mean forever.

According to the Insideschools website, where schools are reviewed,
"...Science Skills Center offers challenging science classes, but the school has been plagued by declining enrollment and some safety concerns. More than one-third of students responding to the Learning Environment Survey said they do not feel safe in the halls or on the property outside the building, known as the Waters Edge Educational Campus. Teacher turnover has been high..." and, one commenter who has put time in at this school wrote "There are two high schools which I have identified by personal experience as being "litmus test schools" that can be used to determine the seriousness with which the current DOE administration is attempting to improve the school system. These are schools which are so far removed from being places of learning and which have administrations that are so incompetent and corrupt that if they are not merged with other schools in the building and/or their principals are not removed by next September then one can only conclude that any talk of a "turnaround" of low performing schools is just that -- talk. They are not on the list of 94 "Renewal" schools. I hope that is because they are recognized as being too far gone to be renewed and must be closed instead. The Science Skills Center High School for Science, Technology and the Creative Arts is one of the schools.

So protecting art treasures from pigs is the new racism? White kids at this “mostly black” school are being banned as well.

I assume they mean forever. The Guggenheim has denied the reports that they banned the school. Could by CYA by the Guggenheim people, or the original reports could have been overblown.
