Republican lawmakers are criticizing a new policy at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that forces states to acknowledge climate change in order to receive some federal disaster funds.
The policy, set to take effect next March, requires state governors to address the role of climate change in their disaster-mitigation plans in order to qualify for federal disaster-preparedness grant money.
A group of Republican senators are questioning the change in a letter to FEMA Director Craig Fugate, arguing that the new policy will complicate the bureaucratic process of applying for mitigation assistance and force state leaders to adopt an ideological position in an ongoing and unsettled debate.
The senators go on to ask Fugate to provide the specific statutory authority the agency [FEMA] relied upon to require consideration of climate change as a requisite for receipt of preparedness funds.
Interestingly, the senators also insinuate that the policy change like so many policy tweaks in the Obama era was done without consulting state leaders on the front lines of implementing disaster relief plans.

You are a coward.
You preach to have someone save you, or pray that for your salvation.
Take matters into your own hands, and save yourself, and your fellow man.
The way I see it, “God” loves his warriors! :)
You will take the “bull by the horns” and then proceed to carry out variation 10,000,000,000 of the fallen will of fallen mankind. Let’s see how well THAT turns out!!
If you want to be God’s warrior you must OBEY him.
True, but those who are appointed get those appointments from those who ARE elected.
Obeying the lord does not translate to cowering down and waiting for someone to perform a “miracle”, nor wait for some other brave soul to save your life while you sit around and make excuses for inaction.
Do you actually comprehend what I am attempting to get across? I am not so much disagreeing with you as I am trying to point out that if you want to obey the lord, get off of your soapbox and take matters into your own hands, in his honor.
Understand?
I’m pointing out that the prayer and spiritual focusing should come FIRST... otherwise you have just courted chaos
And I think you are trying to backpedal over some pretty ridiculous spiritual statements without admitting that you have.
The SECOND step in waging a war is not to go to your Commander. The FIRST step is.
And, the most important thing about the process is that you might find that you might have to just squarely lay down what you thought were your wonderful plans, and pick up something different. You think you puzzled it out? You thought the Lord wanted you to go to an eye surgeon and you plotted that all out, clear down to the insurance policy and the hospital, when He had washing in Siloam in mind?
Same goes for your “fear based” philosophy. That’s why you were so ripe for the rebuke that the only fear that matters is that of the Lord.
You believe what you shall, but don’t dictate to me what I should or should not do.
I’m not backpedaling on anything. Compute that.
Nonsense again.
The “rebuke” you provided is from your viewpoint, not mine.
I can only warn, certainly not dictate.
However when the results come out the way I say they would, you will be challenged not to think of what you were told.
The rebuke was truth. I’m sorry you want to continue to believe lies. You don’t just up and start moving according to your own mind and expect God to just bless that. God won’t do that. I am confident He won’t, not because He respects me, but because I respect Him.
I have no doubt that due to the transgressions of my youth, I have a first class ticket to Hell.
That being the case, I still try to do what I believe is right, regardless of my previous statement, and I am not losing any sleep over my belief above, and I do not let my belief of my ultimate fate guide my actions as that would not be realistic.
I’ve come to terms with my past, present and ultimate fate, and aside from that, I still understand right from wrong, and what is expected of me.
That being said, I will do as I see fit and do not appreciate being “preached” to from those who either disagree with my beliefs or sentiments. Believe what you want, but do not pretend to be an ultimate authority upon what “God” believes or expects of me.
In any case, continue to express yourself as you see fit, but I will not agree with you while you continue to berate me or my beliefs from your “understanding” of Gods will and/or intentions, aside from the occasion that I may happen to agree.
Abolish it and let the states and private entities handle disaster relief.

Dan 3:5
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the Climate Change Idol the king hath set up:
6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace fueled by Wind, Solar, and Global Warming.
