There is no reason to think the several small earthquakes recorded in Northern California and the Inland Empire on Wednesday morning were connected, earthquake experts said in remarks reported Thursday.
Even the three quakes in Riverside County were too far apart to all be linked, the Los Angeles Times reported. The first two, a magnitude-3.7 and -2.7 that struck shortly after midnight, both were traced back to the San Jacinto fault zone. But the third temblor, a magnitude-3.1 near Corona at 9:11 a.m., occurred in a different fault zone.
Scientists are still studying the details of the third earthquake, which occurred near the Elsinore and Whittier faults, Caltech seismologist Jennifer Andrews told The Times. As for the first two, it seemed like business as usual for the San Jacinto fault zone, a major network of faults in Southern California.

Wish I felt some ithey fascinate the heck out of me
It’s global warming.
The producers of “San Andreas” must have paid quite a bit to get three earthquakes staged for publicity!
That ad agency is pricey — but it’s worth every penny.
Come on over, we have been having swarms since Sunday. However, after 8am yesterday, the ground has remained silent.
I’m tellin ya they got too many illegals standing on the outside of the state. Its causing the state to crack and fall off into the water...: )
They should perform their publicity somewhere else LOL Here in the East Bay (Bay Area) we had 3 small tremors within 30 minutes.
Reporting a string of unrelated SMALL earthquakes in Cali is the equivalent of reporting a string of unrelated minor car accidents in Cali.
It’s not news.
That being said, when the day comes that the FedGov wants us REALLY out of our cars, expect the MSM to breathlessly report all of the 40k or so fatalities each year.
What do they mean they’re not connected?
Who’s FAULT is it?
Only when your teeth shaking in Los Angeles can be heard in Eureka...then it’s related.
Must be the fracking.
Everytime we have an earthquake it occurs on “a previously unknown fault”...
Our swarms of tremors came from the Concord Fault. That fault is said to be able to generate a 7 on the Richter. Concord did have an Earthquake back in 1955 registering 5.4 killing 1 person. I guess we are over perhaps.
No no no.
That was last year.
Now earthquakes are all caused by fracking.
Unexpected
Unexpected
I’ve been in several and the five point four I felt while on the 23rd floor of the ANA Hotel in Tokyo was like being on a carnival ride. The others were milder but in every case it’s a very weird feeling.
