NASA can’t even get people to the space station and has described muslim outreach as their primary goal. I imagine they will be “working on” FTL technology for quite some time, though I don’t expect any results.

It will be interesting when the Voyager probe is sitting in a museum here on Earth because we went out and scooped it up in less than 2 minutes of travel to get to it.
