Apple granted design patent for the Apple Watch design. Note, this is not a UTILITY patent, which they also have for the case, watch bands, and the internal electronics, force touch screen, and crown control wheel inventions. A "design patent" is a specific patent for trade dress of the unique look and appearance of a consumer product or work and is similar to a TradeMark. It is this type of patent that gave rise to the specious claim that Apple had patented rounded corners and rectangles, which was part of the written physical description of the original iPhone, which is required by law. Hi Swordmaker.
Do you know anything about that rumored "hidden" and "undocumented" connector that lives where the wrist band connects to the body? The one that some band company claims they can charge the watch through?
Is that connector mentioned in the patent application?
