The court was told that the culprit had not slept for three days
A 25-year-old Australian man, Nathan Thompson who brutally bludgeoned to death nine puppies in March while high on meth has been sentenced to 18 months in jail by a court in the eastern state of New South Wales.
Thompson will serve at least a year of his sentence, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports. He is also banned for life from owning animals.

Ping
My heart aches for those poor, helpless, little puppies. They are God’s creatures too.
I wouldn’t need a meth induced rage to destroy this guy. I would need about 15 minutes.
He needs to go away permanently. If he can beat pups to death, he’d have no trouble doing the same to a human. Or alternatively, come up with a concoction like antabuse for violent druggies.
Freedom!
I say lock him an a room with an unlimited supply of meth and let the problem solve itself.
You can go to jail for beating 9 puppies to death, but it’s OK to go into a mother’s womb and kill an unborn human.
Both are abhorrent, but only one of them is a crime.
Don’t be an idiot. Idiots can only process one thought at a time. Can you only process one thought at a time?
Killing puppies, what is he a rookie cop?
The facts:
“Thompsons LegalAid solicitor, Rob Hussey, said his client was under the influence of methamphetamine when the killings took place. [...] Magistrate Robert Stone [...] did not accept the assertion that he was under the influence of ice.”
And he was right not to - Thompson acted as a man who knew full well what he was doing:
“Thompson told police he was aware that he could simply surrender the puppies to the RSPCA, but chose to kill them himself because he didnt have enough fuel in his car to make it to the local shelter. [...] police prosecutor Jamie Palmer pushed for a jail term, given Thompson had killed several pups before being seen, then went to another location to continue killing the dogs.”
Umm... I think we are all well aware of that...
I am just asking.
Just too sad for words!
