Like many publications, Playboy magazine interviews many celebrities, but whats interesting is the titles habit of asking them if they own guns. Bill Maher, the comedian who hosts Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, has said before that he has guns. In the May issue of Playboy, the editors asked him why.
Maher told Playboy he has two guns. Theyre for protection. We live in a gun country, even Los Angeles. Im not expecting anything to happen, but I want to be ready for it. So I have a lot of security measures at my house. If somebody gets into my bedroom, wow, they really did a lot to get there. They got past gates, bodyguards, dogs. If I have to shoot somebody in my bedroom, that was a commando raid on par with the SEALs getting Bin Laden. My gun is my last line of defense.
Playboys response: Its strange to think of you as a gun lover.
Maher said, I do not love my gun. Thats the problem with these Second Amendment people. They love guns. For them, its not just that guns should be available; its that theyre seen as awesome. They go into Chipotle with their rifles. They go on dates with their guns. They take selfies with their guns. They teach their kids to kill with them. They give them as gifts. Its a sickness.
Before discussing guns, Maher also told Playboy that Im pro the truth. And some peoples feathers get ruffled more than others by the truth. So Id like to ask Maher, as a fellow gun owner, to meet people at gun ranges and those who lawfully carry concealed, and as he gets to know them, to ask himself if these gun owners really have a sickness.
Then you must turn them in.
You may only possess firearms if you sleep with them.
It's right in the Second Amendment.
Well, technically speaking, the Democrats would say that you are “clinging” to things like your faith, your family, your nation, your civil rights, your guns, your money, your home, your transportation, and anything else you cherish.
You “clinger”, you.
The hypocrisy of Leftist is so thick you can cut it with a knife...
Leftist base their political decisions on how it makes them feel... They never question the information they are give, and fail to ask the basic questions of who, what, when, where and why?
There positions are emotionally based and lack real facts and logic. And THAT is why they are so easily deceived.
“Where does Bill Maher the atheist get off assuming some sort of transcendent standard of proper and improper cognitive functioning of human beings?”
That is easy. He sees himself as able to determine good and evil.
He sees himself as god.
It is what Satan promised Eve, in Genesis.
Agree,
on Date Nite We play Dress-up!
I love That!

Bill Maher: Obama Had to Lie to Stupider Americans

My Life had stood - a Loaded Gun -
In Corners - till a Day
The Owner passed - identified -
And carried Me away -
And now We roam in Sovreign Woods -
And now We hunt the Doe -
And every time I speak for Him
The Mountains straight reply -
And do I smile, such cordial light
Opon the Valley glow -
It is as a Vesuvian face
Had let its pleasure through -
And when at Night - Our good Day done -
I guard My Masters Head -
Tis better than the Eider Ducks
Deep Pillow - to have shared -
To foe of His - Im deadly foe -
None stir the second time -
On whom I lay a Yellow Eye -
Or an emphatic Thumb -
Though I than He - may longer live
He longer must - than I -
For I have but the power to kill,
Without - the power to die -
—Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)
Maher knows who he is, and he knows that because of that he really needs to have a few guns. He also probably has guard dogs, body armor and expensive suits made out of Kevlar.

Yet another hypocritical toff.
Guns for me, but not for thee.
These characters have no shame.
I love that guns have made it possible for the weak to be free from intimidation by the strong. No longer is might right.
I love that the industrial age has made it possible for even the poorest people to be able to afford portable and reliable self-protection that hand guns make possible.
I love that modern hand guns make it possible for someone with little to no training to be able to defend their own life against an assailant much larger and stronger than themselves.
There is much to love about guns and I do.
Well worth repeating!
Before the time of the firearm, defending yourself meant the use of muscle and skill with an edged weapon.
You also needed money to buy armor for protection.
So those who had time and money....
Money for weapons and armor.
Time to gain the necessary skills.
...Were the ones who could rule of other who didn't have these resources.
It is the buyer’s fault, really.
...and they also require feeding. And potty breaks. :)
Honestly I am off cars for good.
I like trucks now. Fords primarily. Seeing they started getting better electronics once they teamed up with mazda in the early 90s to now.
Basically I switched because you can’t see what’s going on around you well enough down in a car, when on every side of you there’s an suv or truck. I also don’t want my head level to their chassis if they hit me.
I think that a lot but believe it or not, even after driving those big grand marquees as cabs, I cant get used to trucks. I’m a big heavy guy and I squeeze into spots cars my whole life lol
Yeah my mom and dad were big car folks. 72 buick lesabre 2-door with a 454 wildcat engine. He had big olds and his last one was an 79-80 cutlass 2 door. He had a big 4 door cadillac and also a really nice buick roadmaster.
awesome!!! those were cars!
my baby was a z28 eight horses of course, black in/out leather.
I LOVED that car lol. Used to pet it when I got home from work :)
Yours had a carb, yes? One you could tweak yourself if and when necessary.
I drove without an exhaust system for a while lol. algore would die!!! wow did it move!!! and loud too :)
