When it comes to McDonald's, everyone seems to have an opinion about what the company needs to do differently. After turning in another quarter of sliding sales and profit, McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook said the chain will unveil initial details on a plan to turn around its fortunes on May 4. Among the challenges it is facing are intensifying competition and an image for serving junk food that it just can't seem to shake.

Yup.

Fries made in beef tallow.

And while they’re at it, they might want to add some of that beef to their burgers.

That’s it. Simple.

Two Seniors of us can eat one 5 Guys fantastic burgers and those in shell peanuts are just a added bonus. Great burger, old fashioned fresh cut fries in real good tasting oil. It’s a treat for us too, but well worth it.

It’s like going to Longhorn’s for Ribs.

Forget the Rendezvous in Memphis. Bad service, cold tough, stringy ribs, runny mustard cole slaw and Pork ‘N Beans with BBQ sauce in them, not the real thing. Served on paper plates with plastic utensils. NO FF’s either. No way I’d pay $20 for that crap again. If it were not for having company that wanted to go we’d never have gone. It was so bad I walked out on our party of 6, and went around the corner to Huey’s and got a burger and fries to go. Was waiting on the curb when they came out munching on good food, while they ate crap food and over paid for it.

Hardy’s used to make shakes with real ice cream (Bryers). Now they use the artificial stuff. Stopped going, same as all the other FF chains - even Arby’s food is surfeit with dripping grease.

How much does White Castle charge these days? I always go to one when I am back in the US of A.

They are darn expensive relative to what you get.

One slider is 70 cents. So with tax you are above 3 bucks just for 4 Castles.

They need to do something about the (real or perceived) safety concerns that keep people with money out of their restaurants.

Maybe start by hiring security guards.

I've said it on similar threads... my son and his friends are in the 18-22 bracket. I'd think that is a prized demographic for the fast food industry.

They won't go in a McD's. All those internet videos of ghetto brawls. While we don't live in a ghetto, it does seem that there are police cruisers with lights flashing at our local McD's an awful lot.

Totally agree.
I don’t go to fast food much anymore, but I hit the Castle about once a month.
