Kentucky State Police Post 9 responded to a call Monday evening about an intoxicated horse rider on U.S. 23. When they arrived, they found Michael Kimmel, 40, of Betsy Layne, matching the description.
The arrest report, filed by Trooper J. Gabbard, says he was ordered to stop, but instead he ran down an embankment, fleeing on foot, wearing only a brown hat, jeans, and boots. During the search for the suspect, police say the found his clothing on the back porch of his own house.

“Troopers were then able to house Kimmel at the Floyd County Detention Center on charges of operating a non-motor vehicle under the influence...”
Does this include bicycles and big wheels?

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

Damn. One of the advantages of the horse and buggy was if you were drunk the horse could find it’s way home...

That didn’t work so well for a local Amish guy a few years ago.He stopped for a red light and then passed out drunk. The horse just stood there for light change after light change, waiting for a command. Then the Ashland city cops pulled up.......

They make it sound like he was riding naked, except for the description of what he was wearing. Sounds like the cops found his laundry and his missing T-shirt on his back porch.
Quite the detectives...

240 years ago, tonight, an American Patriot, Paul Revere, threw aside all misgivings about his own personal safety and freedoms, and embarked upon a most famous undertaking... LISTEN, my children, and you shall hear Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere...
Maybe the dude was paying homage to the original midnight rider.

No matter which direction I go, my horse always knows the way home. Most horses do. If the guy was still in the saddle, he was good to go.
