MSNBC weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry had a particularly tough tax day — the anchor and her husband owe $70,000 in delinquent taxes, according to a report in the Winston Salem-Journal.
The IRS filed the notice on April 6th and filed a lien on the Perrys, the report said. Harris-Perry said she was aware of her debt, but not the tax lien.
She and her husband paid $21,721 of her debt on Wednesday; the remaining debt of $43,581 covers a tax period that ended on December 31st, 2013.

That tax lien will probably collect the tax without any enforcement action.
If she tries to buy or sell a house for instance, the lien will almost certainly have to be paid off first.

In the early years, cable companies bribed big city politicians to get extremely lucrative exclusive service contract areas in cities. Most of which were Democrats of course.

1) They probably qualify as work tools when not dangling from her earlobes. The IRS does not seize tools that you need to conduct your business; I think she qualifies as a Media Wxxxx and the danglies as a clean up product?
2) By now they have probably already been used elsewhere than the nostrils (picture following your post) and would present a health risk without any resale value.
