Just heard that Hernandez was found guilty..that Hernandez shook heavily during his sentencing..praying not to get the ultimate penalty..the judge then sentenced Hernandez to life without parole..Hernandez and lawyers jump up and scream with joy..hugging each other with tears of happiness..reporters asked him as he is led away in chains.."Why are you so happy?" Hernandez replied, "It could have been worse..I could have been sentenced to play for the Oakland Raiders! Thank the Lord I was spared!"

Aaron thought the same thing. He was so sure that his celebrity status would prevail. I hear he’s still getting marriage proposals from nutcases out there.

I hope the victim's family sue in civil court and take his house and every NFL dollar he ever made.

Let him clean other inmate clothes for commissary money.

Hernandez’s lawyer acknowledged during closing arguments that he was there when
Lloyd was killed. But he pinned the shooting on Hernandez’s two friends, saying his
client was a 23-year-old kid who didn’t know what to do.

The conviction carries a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

And he will also stand trial in Boston for an additional
two murders.

I hate when thy do that. Total waste of money. He got life without parole for this and that should be enough. I always think it is dumb when they say he got 3 life sentences. No he didn’t, he got one and that is enough.

Or as Ted Kennedy once opined when the Death Penalty was being debated on Beacon Hill. “The penalty should be Life without punishment”.

I’m in Mass, and they talk about the trial on the media. I thought there was very little evidence that sounded like it went in his favor. I think the defense was trying to point the finger at the other guys in the car—even admitting at the end of the trial that Hernandez was there at the murder.

That seems weak, considering that he was the guy who called everyone, put the crew together, and picked up Lloyd. Without some plausible story relating the other people to Lloyd, the “it just happened while I was there” story is preposterous.

Then again, OJ got off, for a while.

When jury was out for so long..I figure there was one crazy Pats fan on it...and they’d come back hung...and we’d do it all over again..

Tsarnaev has been convicted. Unless I missed it, and I just looked, he has not been sentenced.

Sounds like a great way to reduce the prisons, of long-timer populations! Think what they could have saved on Charles Manson!
Count what they saved on Jeffery Dahmer!
Imagine, prisoners doing the work our politicians wont!

Of course, he’s in Massachusetts so he’ll never get the death penalty and can probably get a sex-change operation paid by government funds if he so chooses.

Normally I would agree with you. But considering that his defense team is likely to appeal; I think that an additional two convictions and life sentences guarantees that he STAYS in jail for life without parole.
You just never know when a judge/panel of judges will grant
an appeal on some grounds - especially here in the Peoples
Republic of Mass.

Word is he’s going to Colorado Max facility for life. Hernandez more than likely will be in MA state facility. Either way they are out of circulation.

Marathon bombing sentencing phase starts on Tuesday (postponed by judge until the day after the Marathon and after the 2 yr anniversary). The news here says the sentencing phase could take up to 4 weeks.
