HANCOCK COUNTY -- A family gathering to celebrate a child's birthday turned deadly Sunday when a fight between two brothers-in-law led to a fatal stabbing, officials said.
Hancock County Sheriff's Investigator Glenn Grannan said that at 12:30 a.m., deputies found Kenneth Fanning, 29, suffering from multiple stab wounds in the front yard of a rental home on the 5000 block of U.S. 90.
The suspect, Clinten Michael Dryer Sr., 32, injured his knee during the fight, Grannan said. He was treated at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and was charged shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday with murder.

Could have been worse.
Could have been at a Chuck E. Cheese.

A 12:30AM birthday party for a kid?"Grannan said a group had gathered at the house earlier Saturday to celebrate a birthday party for the suspect's child. The party extended into the evening, and an argument sparked between the suspect and the victim, who were brothers-in-law."
To: BBell
I take it there was no Chuckie Cheese nearby, or else this would have happened there.

My wife asked me to take my daughter to a birthday party for a little girl in my daughter’s class. I begged off so she went. The little girl was from Brazil.
They had a KEG OF BEER and epic amounts of Brazilian food!!! Who’s the moron? Me.

Nothing says “memorable birthday” like a good old stabbing death. Cake afterwards.
