If youre not ready for the designated hitter to be part of National League baseball, your time to get ready is getting shorter by the day. Its not a matter of if, its a matter of when, and more than that, its a matter of how.

Heck the way things are going the Rangers might be able to use him.
Go watch a slow pitch softball game and leave baseball alone
You may know this story then:
Koufax was pitching in Philly, Drysdale was pitching the next night in NY, so he took an early train. When he arrived in NY, game in Philly was over and Koufax had pitched a no-hitter.
When told by a reporter of the feat, Big D deadpanned: "Did he win?"
No way!
Decent and seemingly conservative guy, heard him being interviewed by Howard Stern on a repeat from a few weeks ago, he was on for about an hour.
Lots of surprisingly conservative stars come from the Detroit area. Tom Selleck comes to mind.
I always see him as Shillinger, head of a vicious Nazi prison gang.
The DH is great. End of story.
LOL I always think of him as Peter Parker’s boss in Spiderman.
LOL
They have allowed 25 runs already.
Tied with the Marlins and the White Sox are even worse at 27.
I doubt too many major leaguers can hit the Fag Ball.
My favorite line from Spiderman:
Miss Brant: Boss, your wife’s on the line, she said she lost her checkbook.
J. Jonah Jameson: Thanks for the good news!
SF Giants ace Madison Bumgarner hit more Grand Slams last season than Derek Meter hit in his entire career.
Jeter
The DH stinks. Play baseball for God’s sake.
Fergie Jenkins and Bob Gibson both used to get the occasional home run.
Babe Ruth never had a problem batting for himself when he pitched for Boston in the early 1920s.
Yes, Don Drysdale was a good hitting pitcher. He hit over .300 in some seasons, if I recall correctly.
For whatever reason, the way baseball evolved, nobody cared if pitchers could hit or not. Position players in baseball don’t make it to the majors if they can’t hit. But pitchers have always been held to a different standard.
