What was so wrong with making a pitcher prove he WAS A MAN?

Better yet ... do away with the DH in the AL. Get back to real baseball.

Better yet ... do away with the DH in the AL. Get back to real baseball. Amen to that.
But the players union wants the jobs for old guys, and the Commish wants more scoring. Done deal.

Interleague play, the DH and moving the Astros to the AL were all a big part of my going from rabid baseball fan to barely following the sport at all.

I remember when Sandy Koufax hit a home run. He was the worst hitting pitcher in baseball. Despite having 4 no-hitters he always said the home run was his greatest achievement in his career. That’s what baseball is all about.

They’ve already ruined things with the stupid second-chance wildcard in the payoffs. Leave the damn game alone. Quit screwing up a century of beloved American tradition.

The NL is the only league in professional baseball at any level that does not use the DH.
As a purist I don’t care for the DH but really the only thing the NL has that the others don’t is the sacrifice bunt and the double switch.

Pretty much all pitchers suck at batting in both leagues.

Justin Verlander got his first hit in the major league last year. It was a double very nearly home run. It took nearly 7 years in the major league to do it.
I hate watching pitchers bat. Might as well just go with two outs to call it an inning when batters are up.
