First of all, the title is ridiculous.

"Do Pilots Believe in UFOs?"

Any pilot who does not believe that there are, indeed, Objects that Fly that are Unidentified needs to go back to school.

"Do Pilots Believe in Alien Spacecraft?" would be much more to the point. But when did UFO become synonymous with Alien Spacecraft?

A pilot once answered my question by saying that if airlines fired all the pilots who saw UFOs there wouldn’t be anyone to fly the planes.

I always assumed that the whole UFO phenomena was something that the CIA had started to cover up black ops and secret experimental military aircraft. But then, a few years ago, the CIA came out with a public statement that they had started the whole UFO thing to cover up black ops and secret experimental military aircraft. So were they lying, they are the CIA after all, or were they telling the truth in order to mislead us about something else? I don’t know.

Just because you might see anti-grav air/spacecraft out there doesn’t mean they were piloted by aliens from other worlds.

I understand that BigFoot has been piloting the UFO’s. The UFO’s are from the planet Bolok.

I thought I read not long ago that one of the Apollo Astronauts was a big proponent of this...

Wonder if any of the passengers on that flight saw the UFO?

There is a documentary that shows up every so often called “I Know What I Saw”. It features military, commercial and law enforcement personnel that have witnessed this phenomenon and is very interesting. To think that humans are the only intelligent life in the universe is so arrogant it boggles the mind.

I saw something similar to what is described back in the early 90’s. I was visiting family out on the west coast near Laguna Beach. A gated community in a valley south of El Torro MAS.

Being on eastern time, my body clock got me up at my usual time, 6AM EST. Made coffee and went out to to the pool area to sit and have coffee and look at all the stars. A better sky than I’m used to.

I’m looking to the East up at about 10~11 o’clock when I noticed a group of stars shimmer a bit. It was a brief shimmer, localized. Could have been a heat bloom from somewhere but at that hour? Then movement caught my eye to the north (the valley runs more or less, north to south) and I turn to see a red ball in the sky. It seemed to hover a second or two and then changed course and altitude, west and down and disappeared behind the hills. The whole event lasted at most about 10~ 15 seconds. The ball altered speed and course. Didn’t hear anything. And later I learned that valley bounced sound around from anywhere that would have hit it walls like water flowing through a trough.

I have no idea what I saw, but I saw it, and it was flying.

A lot of UFO sightings are due to unusual military aircraft (for its time). For example, who knows how many UFO sightings we got just from the high-flying or strangely shaped planes built by Lockheed's famous Skunk Works or Boeing's Phantom Works divisions. How else could people explain a U-2 flying at 70,000 feet or an A-12 (the ancestor to the SR-71) flying at Mach 3 at 80,000 feet?

I don't know what the answer is, but credible people are seeing incredible things. People whose testimony you'd have no trouble accepting in a murder trial.

Andrew Danziger is a 28-year airline veteran, ...and was one of the pilots to fly Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Was smoking allowed during those flights?
