I liked him too! He did a fine job as a captain on a Coast Guard cutter chasing rum runners in Lucky Lady.
He was good in the Wind and the Lion. I believe he won critical acclaim for playing a Scrooge like character in Highway to Heaven.

Lewis was supposedly OT3, so pretty high up “The Bridge.” He divorced his first wife, who, with their kids, remained in Scientology. His second wife and the kids from that one were never members.

He was great in all the Eastwood films. He was also in a sixth season episode of the X-Files, Tithonus, which is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Very intense, much of it due to his great performance.

His portrayal of murderous “troubleshooter”-outlaw Stacy Bridges was spot-on and terrifying with his understated menace that burst into unrestrained violence with the right trigger. And any man whose seed can conceive a babe like Juliette Lewis must have something going for him.

Yeah. He was a great character actor, the kind you recognize but can’t remember his name.

As an aside, IMDb has a “double search” feature for two actors in the same movie.

http://www.imdb.com/search/common

Unlike the typical search, once you put in a name, you hit Enter and it will often give you a list of actors names to choose from.

In this case, Geoffrey Lewis and Clint Eastwood.

Well, at this point he’s realizing how badly he was scammed by L. Ron Hubbard.

Not at all “handsome,” but distinctive, recognizable as, “You know, that guy!”

One of my favorite Stephen King movies. For a made-for-tv film it sure was scary. The original Kolchak: The Night Stalker was pretty good in that respect, too.
