I really hate to think of what it is going to be like five or ten years on down the road when solar activity flat lines. Canada and upper regions of America saw snow at the end of August of 2014, abruptly cutting short last year’s growing season. Hard winter started in November, and though the news said it was the warmest winter in memory, it was the coldest for hundreds of millions of peoples across the northern hemisphere. Today, April 6 Maine is experiencing record-breaking cold where in Black River it is -20F. It is spring and it is the latest it has ever been below zero! It is spring but in many places in the Northern Hemisphere it is still winter. For the second winter in a row, icebreakers are having a tough time opening the Great Lakes for commercial traffic. Ship owners are worried that the Canadian Coast Guard’s (CCG’s) plan to send two ships to reinforce its Great Lakes icebreaking force will not be sufficient to open shipping channels after the St Lawrence Seaway opens on 2 April. Last year, the coastguard deployed six extra icebreakers to help open up the lakes, which are now almost as heavily iced-over as last year. The large ice cap still encrusting most of Lake Erie would cover all of Long Island, Connecticut and Rhode Island combined, says Buffalo News. It is two feet thick in many places, and melting oh-so-slowly. Last year, it wasn’t completely gone until May. This will be the longest it has taken to reach 60 degrees since 1980.

Demand for ice-breaking capability is only growing, as several recent cases have demonstrated, says Coast Guard chief. This warning was issued by Admiral Paul Zukunft, commandant of the USCG, in his annual state of the coastguard address on February 24. Why would anyone want to invest in icebreakers in a dramatically warming climate? “Ontario’s most popular park is at record thickness for this time of year,” says reader Alex Meyer. All lakes in Algonquin Park remain completely ice covered. “This is the thickest ice recorded for a late March/early April date since detailed record keeping began in 1964.” On Easter, a wave of polar air moved across Romania. These are just the first days of fall in the southern hemisphere and the first days of spring and the subject of climate change, which in the mainstream media specifically means global warming, goes on relentlessly. Cruz went on to say that "there has been no significant warming whatsoever for 17 years," putting him solidly on the side of science and truth. "Now that’s a real problem for the global warming alarmists. Because all those computer models on which this whole issue is based predicted significant warming, and yet the satellite data show it ain’t happening," Cruz said. Global warming alarmists “don’t like to look at the actual facts and the data.”

Cruz, who chairs the Senate’s top science committee, made headlines recently by pressing the head of NASA to prioritize space exploration over climate change research. His "flat Earth" comments conflict directly with comments made by President Obama last year who knows nothing about science or climate. It is too bad that Cruz is way off step with the medical marijuana issue and gay marriage, but with climate change, he has his feet solidly grounded and backed with real science.

American voters are increasingly concerned about climate change but most do not believe in the theories and computer models that suggest warming when in reality most people are experiencing more cold. Climate change is real but the flat Earthers only want it to be the way they imagine it to be not the way it is.

The Christian Science Monitor could not help but report the above with a derivative tone, being that they are an official global warming turned to climate change publication of believers. They reduce the discussion to one dimension forgetting, as all global warming people do, the cooling sun. Cruz is correct to bring in memories of Galileo, who could see the sun as the center of reality on earth. The climate change issue is going to crush the Democratic Party because daily life, as well as the dimming sun, is showing us increasingly that cold is the threat not warming temperatures. Some observers said that resistance to the administration’s climate policies leaves even foreign governments questioning whether Obama’s commitments to act on climate change can last.

John Casey says, “The White House goal is to have a consensus climate agreement that it will then use to signify President Obama’s coronation as the global leader who saved the planet from mankind’s climate changing CO2. At least that’s the plan. Unfortunately, no comprehensive mandatory international agreement is forthcoming; far from it. There are many reasons for why the gathering in Paris will not produce the results the global warming community seeks and may be doomed at the outset.” On Casey’s Space and Science site one can preview a list of solid scientists and in brief see where they stand.

Global Sea Ice is at a Record High

Dr. Benny Peiser, from the Global Warming Policy Forum (GWPF) said, "Global sea ice is at a record high, another key indicator that something is working in the opposite direction of what was predicted." Though we are hearing constant reports of ice melting and oceans rising the truth is Arctic sea ice extent is now higher than 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2011. Ted Maksym, an oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, conducted a study in which he sent an underwater robot into the depths of the Antarctic sea to measure the ice. His results contradicted previous assumptions made by scientists and showed that the ice is actually much thicker than has been predicted over the last 20 years.

According to research from Danmarks Meteorologiske Institute (DMI), Arctic sea ice volumes in October and November this year averaged at 10,200 cubic kilometers. This figure is only slightly down on the 2013 average of 10,900 cubic kilometers, yet massively up on the 2011 low of 4,275 cubic kilometers and the 6,000 cubic kilometers recorded in 2012. Dr. Peiser, who believes the threat of global warming has been overstated by climate scientists, described this occurrence as "some kind of rebound" adding that no-one knows what will continue to happen to the poles. He added: "Most people think the poles are melting… they’re not. This is a huge inconvenience that reality is now catching up with climate alarmists, who were predicting that the poles would be melting fairly soon."

The warmists have already made numerous ‘data adjustments’ which changed historic data to prove global warming. If the climate gets colder, they’ll just do more ‘adjustments’, guaranteed. Doesn’t matter if glacial ice moves down over Canada and the northern states, they’ll pull out data to prove we’re in the middle of a heat wave.
