It's National Beer Day, the perfect excuse to break out a frosty mug of your favorite brew. Because everyone's tastes and preferences for beers differ so significantly, it can be hard to objectively decide which ones are the cream of the crop.
That's why we enlisted the help of the experts at RateBeer.com to come out with a list of the best beer from every state.
Take a look at the map below to see if your favorite local beer made the list, or read the full feature for more information on the best brews.

Johnny,
Get one of those Shiner combo packs. Regular Shiner I also use for marinades, but there are a couple of good ones.

I spoke with some of the management at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack, NH several years back. They mentioned that they test beer everyday from every A-B brewery in the U.S. in taste tests.
One thing about it, like the beer or not, but a Bud brewed in NH will taste exactly the same as one brewed in CA, today, tomorrow and next year. That's damned good consistency.
Try some Pedernales--my favorite Texas beer.
Shiner has an excellent chocolate stout out right now- “birthday beer”. Well worth your time and money (drink it at room temperature, or only slightly chilled, for best taste).
Another from Washington State that I miss is Rainier ale.
I may not know “good” beer, but I know what I like...
Alaskan Brewing Co. Oatmeal Stout
yum. :)
Never heard of the New York beer, but maybe I’ll look for it. Not a regular beer drinker, so when I do, I don’t want to drink crap beer. That said, I don’t know what’s good when I see it on the supermarket shelf. I usually go with the recommendations of what’s on tap at Schnitzel Haus when I’m there.
Shiner bock is my beer of choice
We started drinking heavier the day Obutt was sworn in.
There is a great little craft brewery here in Atlanta called Monday Night Brewery. Their Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale is awesome.
As far as Missouri is concerned I’ll put anything by Boulevard Brewing up against anything Perennial Brewing cranks out.
Is leinenkugel still around?
As a former employed fellar I visited a couple Breweries in muh day.
Coors Heileman Hamm’s.. Yuk.
Thanks for posting this, shared it with a beer loving friend on facebook.
My mom went to grad school in Wisconsin, she said they did EVERYTHING with beer there, set their hair with it, etc. This was back in the 40s, so things may have changed hair products-wise.
Bite your tongue! Texas has some great beers! Shiner Bock is a staple, but Shiner has produced plenty of other types lately. St Arnold is good. Franconia. 903. Nine Band.
So many others ...
Yeah Leinie’s is still aroungot some of their Summer Shandy in the fridge along with some Yeungling.
I used to swear by Sam Adams, but since they publicly gave the middle finger to the organizers of the Boston St Patrick’s day parade unless gays were allowed to march in said parade.

Rolling Socks was the first beer I drank as a kid... the neighbor kid pilfered a couple pony bottles from his old man for a campout we were having.
Cigar City Brewing is Florida’s best beer, but the Tampa Bay area has lots of local breweries...
Growlers are legal here in Florida... and the Tampa Riverwalk you can enjoy a beer while walking the Riverwalk. A friend of mine makes moonshine...(he is a construction company owner...).
